Dream fast passes are given away in each of the parks to some lucky guests. They are plastic cards on a lanyard that have pull tabs so people who get them can go on the attractions that have fast pass lines without having to wait or use their ticket to get a fast pass. You can only use each tab once.
I won one at the Studios in December, and it had Rock 'N Roller Coaster. Tower of Terror, The Little Mermaid, the car stunt show, and Indiana Jones. I believe Star Tours as well.
If you win a Dream Fast Pass at Disneyland it also has one for California Adventue on the back. Does this mean it will act as a free pass in DCA if you only bought a Disneyland ticket?
No. They actually give your 2 Dream FP. One for DL and one for DCA. If you don't have admission to DCA you won't be able to use it. And they are dated so you can't use them another day. You either have to upgrade to a PH, give the DCA passes to someone else (pass on the magic ) or keep them as a lovely souvenir.

Thanks for answering my question. My mom and I won Dream FP at DCA last year. We were using a 2fer ticket and had done Disneyland the day before. After we got back someone told me that we could have used the Dream FP to get into Disneyland that same day. I had not heard this before and couldn't find the answer anywhere. Glad to know we didn't miss out.
