So I was debating on whether or not to go ahead and order tickets now for a future trip, probably in 2018 and talked to DH about it. He said I could go ahead and buy them. He won't even being going on the trip. DD and I are planning a mother daughter trip when she's 11 or 12. I was able to get tickets at the old prices from a company that still had some of them in stock. I saved $86 and I figured that ticket prices will likely increase more before my trip, so my savings will only increase. The tickets never expire until we use them so if for some reason we don't go in 2018, we'll be able to use them whenever we do go back. Yay! :)

I say go for it good savings and won't hurt anything. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

I am thinking of buying ahead for 2017 now, we only need 2 day base tickets though and they arent discounted Booooooooo!

We have always purchased our tickets directly from Disney. I've looked at other sites, prices and discounts, but still have consistently found the best deal to be a direct purchase. Just now I compared UCT prices to Disney direct prices for 4 tickets (all 10+) 5 days no hopper, and UCT is $34 MORE than buying directly from Disney. Am I missing something? Is there a discount code that you can use that affects cost? Another question, with the new rules regarding tickets, can you purchase this far in advance for a 2018 trip? I thought there were new expiration dates and that tickets had to be used within 12 months of purchase? (Clearly this would have come up before now, but maybe I dreamt this part! lol)

UCT includes tax in its prices. I suspect that's where the difference lies. Because when I just checked, 4 tickets with no hopper for 5 days is $1448.40 through Disney and $1394.36 through Undercover Tourist.

Are you thinking of the no expiration tickets (meaning they didn't expire even after you started using them)? Because everything I've read says that you can buy tickets and, as long as you don't use them, they don't expire. (Although, I would always read the fine print before doing that just to make sure. Because I'm paranoid like that!)

I think the whole tax thing fools people. I always add what tickets I want (or whatever I'm looking at buying) into my shopping cart on all websites I'm searching that way I can compare the final cost after everything has been added, including shipping and taxes

I verified the tickets wouldn't expire until 14 days after first use before purchasing them. I already knew that but wanted to make sure for my peace of mind. Maybe you're thinking of Disneyland tickets, I believe they do expire at the end of the year. Of course I've never been or bought tickets for there so I could be wrong.

I just applied our first of three WDW passes to MDE...almost have enough air miles for our last two passes. Buying the passes makes the trip REAL even though January 2018 is so far away :)

It is Disneyland that has an expiration for some tickets. I bought some for our September 2016 trip on May 8th and they say they expire on January 13, 2017.
