Just One More Upgrade...

Jess and David do Disney again...

Hi everyone!

I'm Jess, compared to some people on here I am a newbie when it comes to Disney. I have been stalking these boards for a while, and have decided why don't I take the plunge and start a trip report. I have been to Disney twice now, and each time I said I would join a forum and do a trip report and you can tell by my new membership status how that turned out. This time I am going to go full out and start with a pre-trip report.

Let me introduce to the Cast Members (in my dreams, I would love to be a cast member and be in Disney all day long).

First of all you have the obsessive Disney Freak, yours truly. I am Jess, I am 22 years old who does not have a life. I am from the lovely hot...England (it is raining now and it is mighty cold, wish I was in Florida everyday). I currently work full time within the Travel Money business, as well as helping out in a school once a week and studying towards my masters in science. I have no time to myself, but it is not the end of the world as all this money I am earning goes into the Disney fund.

This will be my 4th Trip to Florida and 3rd to the Land of the Mouse. Disney for me is a fun packed holiday with no breaks, as I always say it is not a Disney holiday if I don't get shin splints. But I don't care, I think I have might of been a Disney Princess/Mickey Mouse in another life - Disney is my home - shame about the nine hour flight to get there. Here's the low down on me;

Favourite Resort: Grand Floridan (dreaming of it for my honeymoon).


I will be taking my not so better half, my fiance David. He will be 23 when we travel, and he is the opposite of me - totally lazy. Nah, he isn't really he is just not as awesome as me when it comes to planning Disney, he lets me get on with it. He is currently studying towards his degree in Computer Science. He has visited Florida and Disney more times then you can count on his hands, and considering we live in England that is alot. It is his fault that I am into Disney, in 2012 him and his army (his family) decided to drag me along to Canada and Disney, and from then I have been hooked.

It will be just us two for the first five days, then we will be joined by David's Mum, Dad and a Family friend for the purpose of this they will be called; Minnie, Mickey and Donald.

Reason of the Trip

Since my first trip to Disney in 2012 there was a phase of going to Florida. First as a massive party of 18 in 2012, just me and David in 2013 and again just the two of us in 2014. When we booked the 2014 holiday to Disney in December 2013 we decided that even though we love Florida and Disney we had to start saving up for a house, get married etc. blah blah all the boring adult stuff. Therefore, we went all out on the holiday snagging last minute upgrades to Upper Class. It was then that we vowed to not go to Florida again until we had a house.

Well as you can see from this pre-trip report that didn't last long. Around about April 2014 David's parents and one of their friends decided to book a trip in August/September 2015 for 23 days . To make matters worse they gave out the following invitation to us; "If you can flight a flight and buy your tickets, you can stay in our villa". Well when someone gives out that invitation to Disney how can you refuse?

So before we even went to Disney in September 2014, the planning for August 2015 had already began. After discussing with work, we couldn't get that much time off work so we decided that we would leave 5 days before them, and stay at a Disney hotel for 5 nights and join them at the villa for a further 11 nights. Make a total of 16 nights in Florida.

And with that a trip was born...
