I'll be in LA for work next month. I'm extending my trip so I can visit DL - but I'll only have one day there. I should get there between 9 and 10 am. And I'm staying at a good neighbor hotel that's walking distance so I can stay until closing. I did exactly this once before. The only other time I've been to DL. I had a great time and rode just about everything I wanted since I was by myself.

Now I can't decide if I should get a park hopper or just a DL park ticket. I liked DCA a lot but spent 75% of my time at DL. I like the classic rides and the nostalgia of DL. All I would probably do there is Cars Land and California Screaming. Would love to hear some opinions.

Thanks!

Look at what is closed in DL during the time of your visit. If it looks like a lot of stuff will be closed, get the park hopper. Also, most of Fantasyland closes down during parade/fireworks. If you are going to view the parade/fireworks, that won't matter, but if you plan to do rides during that time, it may make a difference.

I had a solo day in December and did park hop. I went to both parks twice that day and did everything I wanted to do, including watching a parade. It's so easy to do stuff alone. I prefer to park hop.

There will be plenty to do. Way more than you can do in a day at either park in my opinion. I would pick the one you want to experience most and get a single park ticket.

I would get a hopper but I love RSR at night and the food options and shopping at DCA. That would be worth 40 dollars to me.
