Just offered Upsell for Mod

I just booked a last minute trip to the world, Jan. 28- 31. We found great airfare on Spirit.

Well I was gonna stay in a value, but decided to check and see how much POFQ would be. The agent said a one time offer popped up offering POR for $1,067. The value was priced at $1,047. Well needless to say I jumped all over this deal. This price includes 3 nights, 1 adult, 2 kids w/ 4 day MYW tickets and dining plan.

Since we are going this summer, I am gonna upgrade to AP's once I get down there.

I just thought I'd share my good news with some folks who'd understand! and to think I got up this morning and I had no idea I'd be heading south in 12 days!!!

I didn't think upgrades happened anymore. I got an upgrade 4 years ago, Easter Week. All Star Sports Preferred was sold out and he gave me the choice of POR or Coronado for $119 a nite during Peak Season. I almost feel like calling 2 weeks before Easter again, just to see if it can happen.

I booked last night for Jan. 28- Feb. 2 and was offered the same deal. She said to me it would only be $5 more to upgrade!!! I couldn't use it though, we booked a MYW package and it was for a room only! Glad you were able to use yours!!! Whoa, I just reread your post........ did you book a MYW pacakage and get this deal???? She told me I couldn't do it since I booked a package. Ours is from Jan. 28 - Feb. 2, 7 day park hoppers and the dining plan.

I am not surprised POR popped up for an upsell, as the food court is closed. Disney may be having problems filling the rooms, so they are trying to market it more to those wanting to stay at a value resort. But still a great price, and with the dining plan, maybe you wouldn't need the food court anyway!
