Just off Wonder to Alaska.... any questions?

who was the club host and cruise director?
what time did you arrive at port and how long did it take to get on the ship?
how long were the lines for characters out on deck for the Dawes Glacier day?
could you please post the navigator from the first day?
thank you

Club Host was (Dollar) Deano from Ireland and Cruise Director was Natalie Bailey from England.
We stayed at the Pan Pacific and they picked up our luggage in our room at 10 am (we called down at 9:45 for the pick-up), I checked out at 10:30, and we were off of the elevator and at security around 10:45. After security and US Customs, we were at check-in around 11 am. As Platinum, we board around 11:50 am.
We stayed on our verandah in Endicott Arm/Dawes Glaciers, so we did not notice any lines for characters.
I don't have a copy of the June 24th Navigator with me at work, but what specifically would you like to know about that day?

Did you do any excursions? I am taking this cruise next year and I am trying to plan ahead.
In Skagway, we did the Klondike Family Challenge, which turned out to be a lot of fun, especially the sled dog puppies.
In Juneau, we did Dog Sledding on the Mendenhall Glacier by Helicopter, which is the best DCL Port Adventure of all 15 of our DCL cruises including Northern Europe, 12-night British Isles, two times in the Med (12 and 7-nights), 3 Baja cruises (2, 3, and 4-nights), both Caribbeans, 4 Bahamas (two each of 4 and 7-nights), and Alaska before.
In Ketchikan, we did the Wildlife Safari and Beach Bonfire, which was better than we expected.

How was embarkation? What time did you show up and how quickly were you able to board?

How was debarkation? What time were you assigned? How long did it take to get to the road.... especially with festival road closures?
For embarkation: We stayed at the Pan Pacific and they picked up our luggage in our room at 10 am (we called down at 9:45 for the pick-up), I checked out at 10:30, and we were off of the elevator and at security around 10:45. After security and US Customs, we were at check-in around 11 am. As Platinum, we board around 11:50 am.
For debarkation: We had second seating and left breakfast around 9 am and used the restrooms before debarking. Luggage was readily waiting and we had no line for Canadian Customs, making it to the Alamo rental car desk the level below before 9:30 am. It took about 30 minutes to get our rental car. The ship was not cleared by Canadian Customs for express walk off until almost 8 am.

In Skagway we just walked around town.
In Juneau we did the Disney combo with the Mendahall Glacier and Whale watching. The whale watching was incredible! Our guide found a pod of 20 orcas. And we watched them for awhile.
In Ketchikan we went Kayaking to Orcas Cove. It was so much fun.

I like looking at the first page that shows the entertainment for the week,

I love Minnie’s Alaska outfit! Did you notice if she only wears it on Dawes Glacier day? I’m hoping maybe other days too?

She and all of the characters wear their Alaska outfits any day when you are in an Alaska port. However the only time she is outside is on glacier day.

Thanks for your information. We'll be on the Wonder next year for a 4-night cruise to Cozumel. I know Wonder is one of the older ships. How did you find the ship to be as far as the condition? Did it feel crowded to you? Is there a promenade for walking? Thanks!

Honestly it was really nice. Everything felt much more intimate. It was really nice because we could get much closer with the crew because they had less people. As far as the condition it was really nice. I also know it is going into dry dock in a few months so that should help. As far as walking goes there is a walking track on deck 4 and a 18+ gym.

I didn’t take any pics but there were jackets, T-shirt’s, hats, gloves, scarves, 2 Alaska exclusive pins, there was also the blanket you could get for $20 if you spent I think $60.
I just know I’m going to want everything. I really want Mickey and Minnie plush in their Alaska outfits too
