The contract with Port Everglades has a guaranteed passenger count that would require one of the larger ships to be based there - in addition to the Magic. Fantasy, Dream, or Treasure?

So the Dream is going to be at PE already in 2024 - we're sailing her for an MDAS in January. I see the argument for keeping Treasure at PC (closer to Disney World, etc). But if it is at PE, then you have a new ship in 2 places and that could be a bigger draw.

I confess, I want them to send the Fantasy to South America.

Also, if the Treasure takes over for the Fantasy, they have to, you know, actually install places to store your clothing for 7 days.

You can do interesting without going far. Just in the Caribbean you have Martinique, St. Vincent, Grenada, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Trinidad, Turks and Caicos that not a lot of cruise lines regularly go to. Some consistent 7 night southerns from Puerto Rico would be nice.

To each his own. Orlando and Miami are 2.5 - 3 hour nonstop flights from my hometown. Puerto Rico is about 6 hours of flying from where I live, not counting the mandatory connection, and for me that changes the equation. If I'm going to have to spend all day traveling to get to or from a place, I might as well go to Europe, which is what I consider interesting, not Caribbean islands, which are pretty similar to each other and don't have nearly the amount of cultural offerings as Europe.

Not that I'm disagreeing with Grand Cayman (but I am). I guess the Treasure could be launched earlier in the fall and then take over that route, but I can't believe that it's first week of service would be over the holidays. Disney isn't going to miss out on a chance to overcharge on 2 cruises.

I am not convinced by the Cayman calendar, actually. It’s like they have the Treasure penciled in for years. Nobody else is showing after 2025 or so. And pretty sure Disney does not plan cruise itineraries that far out.

I would believe that Treasure is doing a special New Years cruise late 2024 and stopping at Grand Cayman.

I stand by the fact that they have published the GCayman calendar as I have reported.

I am curiously awaiting Fall 2024 booking info to see what is going to happen those 3 months.

I didn’t think the Triton class ships could be based out of PE yet because of their fuel needs?

I wish they'd leave the Dream class ships in the U.S. They're my favorite ships.

Same, I love the Fantasy. I am looking forward to the Treasure, but I think that the Fantasy will always be my favorite.

I would rather see some more 10-11 night itineraries from Florida. Puerto Rico is expensive to fly to from the UK. Instead of doing few short cruises when they repo the ships say from NY to FL, why not do a 14 night that stops at the ABCs (and therefore fits the requirement for a distant foreign port)?
