Just got off the Fantasy. If there is any questions let me know.

Background
Booked March 20th, 2022 for the May 7th Sailing VGT. Didn't get my room assigned until April 26th. We didn't get our luggage tags in time either, they came while on our sailing.

Flew in Friday at 1pm. On the Terminal B side, while going to the rental car area. Stopped by the Disney Cruise check in, and they gave me luggage tags to fill out for the next day. While at the desk, they told me the first bus leaves at 9:30. Stayed over night at the JW Marriott and drove back to the airport arrived at straight up 9:11 am at National Rental Car. Walked over with out bags at 9:15. The first bus was already checked in full, but was on the 2nd which left promptly at 9:50.

Arrived at the Terminal at exactly 10:55. Went thru testing, sat in the tent. Testing was completed by 11:05, then the results were given at 11:20 am. Walked over the terminal, checked in, and up the ramp at exactly 11:30 am. Boarding was started at 11:40, and we were onboard with group 5 with our phot with Mickey at 11:54. So everything moved quickly. The reason I put the times, people always wonder how much time something takes. Everything moved fast.

The crew was great, they all were wearing mask. About 10% of guest were wearing mask. But nothing was crowded like in October of 2018. I didnt like, that was no entertainment on deck during the day. They use to have a DJ or small bad on the stage sometimes at the cove pool under the funnel facing forward on 12. It was nice. There was no DJ in Skyline either, so it made that bar dull at night. But in there was other live music in Oh la la and the Carousel Bar at night.

Thanks for the info!

Did you notice if the Disney Jr Breakfast was back? How were character interactions generally?

I did not see the Disney jr breakfast. The character interactions were plentiful. They are at a distance but no mask. On the pool deck there was at least 2 every afternoon. Plenty at night on all 3-4-5.

you say no DJ in Skyline, what about The Tube? or is that what you meant?

I said skyline as that is the observation that I have made. I have been in skyline more than once with a DJ in it. Not every night, but maybe two nights. It would be the dj that would be on deck.

The tube was normal. The host YO-YO, yes was funny. But would take 20 minutes to introduce the game and setup. Then only 10 minutes to play. It was a waste.

Interresting I've never seen a DJ in Skyline, but maybe they only have one after dinner? I usually was there right before dinner

Not sure where a dj would fit inside Skyline. It's way too small. In 3 cruises on the Fantasy so far I've spent a lot of time in Skyline and have never seen a dj in there. They play music in Skyline that corresponds with the country that is on the screen. I assume he just said the wrong name. The Tube is the place with the dj. (Where karaoke, silent dj, dance parties all happen)

Some guy name Darren. Never saw him on deck, walking around. He would introduce the show in the theater. I don’t get it.
He's the guy that's in charge of all the entertainment. Usually the second highest ranking officer after the Captain.

Some cruise directors make a point of coming out to socialize, but others don't. Carly is always out and looking to chat, for example. I guess Darren just doesn't enjoy that. He probably made you a morning TV show, though!

we we’re on the fantasy the week before and saw Darren out and about a lot along with the assistant cruise director. Darren was on the magic in December and we also saw him around then as well.

Good to know! I've actually somehow had Carly on 4/5 cruises lately, so I haven't met many other cruise directors.

Thats what I thought as well. After 9 cruises on both Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy never once say a DJ in Skyline only The Tube and the Main lounge area in the adult area

We're doing a Western in a month. What was the show schedule in the Walt Disney Theater?
Thanks

We were on the Fantasy at the end of March and had Trent, who was amazing! Stopped to talk to us a few times and even went above and beyond in order for my BF to meet Captain Hook. I guess they move around on a regular basis? We were thinking of doing another Fantasy cruise in June and I'm guessing we'll have a different cruise director on that one.

This is the best photo of the DJ in Skyline that I have. He is just left of the fireplace in the corner.
