I just got off the phone with MS and the CM stated that her supervisor told her that SAB will be available to BW guests. They will have transportation back and forth. Yay!

When we stayed at GCV the same thing happened to us. We had looked forward to using the pool and slide well no letter either at home or in the villa and no pool hopping was available. Only a large hot tub was able to be used. I asked could we use the other hotels. My answer was this is not Florida.

I just spoke to the resort and to the vacation club. Both told me you cannot use storm along bay. I pressed the issue with DVC and they told me that StormAlong Bay would be closing also which is why you couldn't do it.
FYI my trip is from 2/28 to 3/7 so that is why yu may be getting different story for your dates.

When I MS the person I spoke with asked her supervisor as well.
I certainly hope this is still the case. We went back and forth quite a bit trying to decide if we should move over to VWL but decided to stick with BWV.
That would be incredibly wrong of Disney to close the main pool without providing another theme pool option. We bought a BWV contract last year and are staying there for the first time this January & I will be very disappointed if the weather is nice. Worse yet, though are the people who save up for a long time to stay at a deluxe hotel, just to find out at the last minute that they'll have a pool inferior to the value hotels'.
We arrive on Sunday at the BoardWalk. Just received a letter telling us Luna Park Pool will be closed on 1/2 and no other pool hopping options are available for us. Just not right in my opinion
DVC News just published a list of pool closings:
http://www.dvcnews.com/index.php/re...any-pool-refurbishments-scheduled-in-early-13
There are dates where the SAB slide is closed.
Also, I just saw another post that said there was a typo on the letter for BW regarding the dates. It should be 1/28 to 3/1, which matches up with dvcnews.
If the resort pool need maintenance, what is the best time of the year to do it? During the middle of the summer when it is 80-100 degrees or January, when it could be as low as 40 degrees? They have to schedule the maintenance some time.
Again, I don't think this is going to happen. I've been visiting WDW during February for a decade now. There have always been pool/slide closures during this time. AFAIK, guests at affected resorts have always been invited to use another nearby in-service pool. I suppose this long-standing practice could be changing, but I rather doubt it.I just think it's unfair to suddenly stop allowing the use of other theme pools.
...but you could call three different CMs with a yes/no question, and get three different answers.
