Just need encouragement

Absolutely 14 is old enough to be babysitting. I have a couple of co-workers whose kids are home all summer while the parents work.

Not sure why someone thinks you'd get "in trouble."

I think the earlier poster meant that I could get in trouble if BOTH my husband and I were working 2 jobs and left the kids home all day AND all night. Nope...wouldn't do that.
