Somedays you question, somedays you scream, somedays you smile, somedays you tie a knot and hang on for dear life.

Hang in there.

I remember when you taked about his girl and posted then. You are doing the right thing. Hang in there!

My brother was like that and my mom let it go on too long. You are doing the right thing.

You're doing a great job! You won't be teaching him anything if you just ignore the issue, which I know is much easier.

Managed to get away from the situation for the weekend, we went to a place called Abersoch in north wales, UK

Was the weather ok for you?

Its been a bit gloomy down south of England.

It does get easier but sometimes it takes awhile. We went through similar things when our daughter was in her late teens. It was a really rough time and I am so glad it's over AND I never have to go through it again. My DD is 27 now and is a delight. She once again loves her Momma and is very thoughtful and loving.
It did take a lot of 'tough love' to get to where we are. I feel for you, it's difficult to go through and people that don't have a rebellious child really can't understand what you are going through. I had one of each, so I really do appreciate the difference.
You are doing the right thing  .

Yup it gets easier. It never goes away but it gets easier. Our oldest did move out and moved almost 18 hours away. I always hated that musty "boy" smell from his room and believe it or not, the room is spotless now but there are still clothes in that closet that have that smell. I have caught myself going in, opening the door, and just reliving his presence in my house.

Disrepectful, nasty, surly, growing up......they are struggling just as we are. They aren't "kids" anymore but not quite ready to be "adults" yet either. Hang in there, wipe your tears and enjoy the times that are good. Those are the ones that you will go back and play over and over when he moves on.
