I just put the deposit on our vacation We are going to be staying at POP for 7 nights in December. I can't wait! DS still doesn't know we are going this year, he thinks we can't afford to go until next year.

I have a question though. I have seen other post talking about having to pay for the vacation 45 days before you go. I booked a room only vacation and when I printed out my confirmation it says that the balance is due at arrival. So that means I don't have to pay until then, right? I just want to make sure, would hate to loose my reservation if I decided not to pay it off before we arrived.

You have it right.

Room-only reservations have a deposit of the price of one night, and the balance is due upon arrival.

Package reservations have a deposit of $200, and the balance is due no later than 45 days prior to arrival.

You will have an awsome time, and your DS will too, we just put a deposit on our trip for May. I wish I would have gotten a surprise trip to WDW when I was little but we always fly so it would be too obvious saying we were flying to Orlando but not going to WDW, oh well! My dad did surprise us the first time we stayed at WL and told us we were staying at PO-fq but when we pulled up to WL (i was mad cuz we were told we were just eating lunch there then checking in at PO) the guy asked if we had ressies and my dad said surprise we're staying here..it was one of my best trips to WDW!! Have a great trip in Dec, i've always wanted to see disney @ xmas!

Thank you. I haven't been to disneyworld since I was 16 and I still remember every minute of it. I plan on telling my son when we get to the airport that we are really going to Disney World and not picking someone else up. I take him with me quite often to pick up friends so I don't think he will suspect anything until I get the bags out of the trunk.

What a great surprise!!! Now lets hope you can keep it a secret for the next nine months, I'm not sure I could. I would slip for sure, but if that did happen I'm sure he would love to be in on the planning. You are going to have a blast!!!

Our you going Christmas week or before?

We'll be there the week before christmas. Dec 19-26. I know it is most likely going to be crowed then, but this is when I can go. I am the only person that can do my job where I work and this is when I am most likely to find someone to cover for me. Although I told the doctors I work for if they can't find anyone I was still going.
