If you spoke to someone on the phone, they are trained to say they are the resort and not a call center. Unless you talked to them in person.

I am aware of that for sure. But, I was given a direct telephone number to a CBR supervisor by a Disney Guest Relations Supervisor. I spoke to that particular person at the CBR and the refurb was confirmed.
