peel and slice your apples.... mix with cinnamon and sugar, place in buttered 9x13 pan..... mix together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, oatmeal (uncooked of course) and softened butter. sprinkle that over the top of apples and bake. I don't use a "recipe".
Just about the same, except I don't mix sugar with cinnamon and add it to the apples first. Just apples and cinnamon. I like it a little tart.
No recipe for me either. I used to have a Betty Crocker kid's cookbook many years ago, which had the best recipe for apple crisp...no oatmeal. I used that cookbook for all my 'first' cooking experiences, and then outgrew it. When I found the cookbook packed away in the attic, that page was torn out
My apple crisp is in the oven right now. Can't wait for it to be done. Had to wait a few hours after dinner though. I made turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing and corn for dinner. We're a little full still.
