I just made an offer on a BCV 70 point contract with and August UY $132 per point I am wondering if that's a good deal or are there better out there?

If it meets your needs in terms of points and use year and you are comfortable with the price paid, be happy and don't worry what others think :)

Seriously though, pricing seems to be all over the place lately and prices for premium offerings such as BCV seem to go up weekly so in this market at this particular point in time, the price seems to be market given the small amount of points on offer.

BCV is the one resort we were told we could not buy direct from Disney when we bought Poly direct a couple of weeks ago. Demand is very high for that particular resort.

Disney told us they could supply points at essentially all their other DVC resorts except that one if we were willing to wait for points to come in.

We purchased Poly new since the price discrepancy between new and resale was small and the savings through resale were not worth us throwing away perks etc.

IF BCV points WERE available new, I would have told you to skip the hassle, pony up the additional $30 per point and enjoy your points immediately as opposed to the 3 month waiting game you will now face.

Good luck in ROFR if your offer gets accepted. We LOVE BCV and would love to eventually own points there as well.

That's what I was going to do I called and not able to buy direct a few months ago. I did not want Poly or the other one. My heart was set in BCV so to resale I went and I'm hoping I can buy direct add ons.

BCV is going at a premium right now, so it is a sellers market. In the long run,(25 years) the little extra you paid won't amount to that much, especially if that is the resort you had your heart set on. Just enjoy, and good luck with ROFR.

The lower point contracts (under 100) usually sell at a higher price from what I have seen on the resale websites.. and they tend to go very fast.. Below are some of the prices paid that were posted on the ROFR page These go back to January 2017.. Looks like prices range anywhere from $93 to $112 per point.. But as other have said.. If you are comfortable with what you spent, then it doesn't matter what others paid..

It's amazing! IF you can get a BCV listing, the price is up $23 since March/April one of the sites said and it appears so. Fidelity and a couple others have zero BCV listings. Resale Market is over $120 all day. I passed up a 320 BCV for $101 mid April for a 500 VGF at $120. I wonder what I would have done if I had realized. Idk.

And don't even start on BLT! I remember Jan 15 when I was learning the ropes someone on here discussing BLT Prices going up but he would consider a good deal $100-$109. Resale Market is in he 140s!!!

The amount of listings are extremely limited at the Beach Club.. I will give you that.. .. It is getting rare to find any that have points in the 100-200 range.. The only ones I have seen were 300+ points.. But that was only like 2.. This is why the price is going up.. although there have been a few people who posted their price paid as recently as July and they paid around the $100 per point range.. So deals are out there.. I think that the other posters that have been around longer are right when they say that come December/January you will see the market flood with resales.. It is summer and everyone is looking to get in since they just went on vacations and are now researching.. Once the "summer heat" dies down I think you will find a bunch of contracts hit the market.. UNLESS brokers try to limit the market to keep prices inflated.. I have had many brokers put me on an "unofficial" list.. I get personalized emails saying they just got inventory and asking if I would be interested.. After a day or two I then see them send out the generic email with "updated" inventory.. Then it finally hits the website..

Could it be that some of the explanation for the fewer and increased listings is the D23 announcement but also the fact that now people know they can rent so why should they sell unless they really really needs to.

If the prices continue to increase you can be sure that Disney will increase their prices on the soldout properties too.

Looking at the prices in general I would say that the market is VERY hot at the moment. I wouldn't buy unless you get a really really good deal, at some point the prices needs to come down (nothing can increase forever) or they at least needs to level out.

To OP the prices on the contracts with less points always go for more than the contracts with a higher point count.

One thing to consider is to buy the smaller contract Direct and get the perks (if you dont already have them) I know they wont put you on a WL but people have been reporting that they bought BCV direct. If this is your first contract I think you need to buy 100 points minimum.

To find a good deal I would recommend looking elsewhere than the major brokers, they all have inflated prices and for now you wont find anything which IMO is worth buying.

Like others have said, if you're happy with the purchase and feel that it's an appropriate price then it doesn't matter what others think. It seems a fair price, especially given there's not many small BCV contracts out there, and it's a sellers market.
