I forgot to ask if the total she charged to my card included tax and gratuity? We will be a party of six in May. Does anyone know if that is all included? It's over $200 for breakfast. My dh is going to FREAK!!!! :earseek: Oh well! maybe I'll sprinkle some pixie dust over him. Please tell me I won't owe anything when we get there!!! Thanks! Woo Hoo!!! I'm really on my way to getting something nailed down on this trip!!! :cool1:

Sorry -- I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm going to ask you one of my own. :) (I'm going to try to make CRT ressies tomorrow.)

Do they charge the whole thing on your card now? The way I read the changes, that didn't take effect until Feb. Or did I misread it? We are nervous because there could be 9 of us on the reservation! Yikes!!!! Do they just hold it on the credit card? How does that work?

When I call tomorrow, I'll try to remember to ask about tip and tax, and then I'll let you know.

Thanks!
Julie

starting february 1st the whole dining cost at crt is put on your cc.

it was $284 for 7 of us with tax & gratuity for lunch in march. the new meals also include a photo package. its alot of money for a buffet but its a special occasion my bridesmaid luncheon.

yes, tax and tip are included - you can walk out of the restaurant and not pay a dime.

The tip applied is 13% because part of the total cost is allocated to the photos, and that part is not included when the tip is calculated.

I had to pay for ten of us...up front....I didn't realize the tip included was only 13%....Does that mean I have to leave more money to complete the tip? :confused3

Only a 13% tip? I wonder if most people will tip in addition to that. Probably not since the meal is already so expensive!

No - you're fine. As I mentioned above, part of the 31.99 is for the meal, and part is for the photos. You don't need to tip on the latter part. This was clarified for me when I booked my meal.

In running the numbers, it looks like the cost is broken down (unofficially) as 22.99 for the meal, and 9.00 for the photos. This makes the tip come out to almost exactly 18%. (I came to this conclusion simply because the numbers work out evenly- I may be wrong about the exact values.)

Here is one way to look at it .. if you pay for it now, that is one less thing to pay for during your trip! :)

I made ressies last week for CRT for our upcoming trip in Feb. There is already a $284 charge on my credit card!!!

Yes, for all ressies after 2/1 it's charged up front.

Where do you find the information for the changes for CRT? Didn't know there was a price increase. What's with the photo charges?

What if I need to cancel all or some of the reservation (a couple people in our party may not be able to come)? How does that work now?

If you want to cancel it must be at least 24 hours in advance. Before Feb 1, it must be canceled 48 hours in advance.
