Just made a ressie for Discovery Cove

We will be in Orlando from 6/19 through 6/24, and I was lucky enough to make a ressie at Discovery Cove for Saturday, 6/23!!!!!!!! I have been trying off and on for a week to get in, and just got lucky! I am so excited!! Any tips or hints? Thanks!!

I was so excited that I got my ressies, I didn't bother to look and see all the tips first! I have now though, and there are some great tips. I am off to get my underwater camera tomorrow. I do have fairly poor eyesight however, and have to wear bifocals. Is there any way I can wear my glasses while I snorkle?

Also, although this isn't really too important, but what are the lunches like?

Do they take pictures when swimming with the dolphins?

I can't answer the bifocals question, but my guess is "no." You might check a scuba supply store to see if they have special face masks that will accommodate glasses.

The food is quite good. It's served cafeteria style, but it's not an all you can eat buffet. It's a set meal with a few choices of entree and dessert.

Yes, they take pictures while you swim with the dolphin and then sell them too you at $16 a pop. It's very easy to spend over $100 on photos. If you have a family member who's a good photog (and has a telephoto lens!) you might be able to get some good shots, but he/she will not have the access the "official" photog does.

That's my best advice, after being there on the 11th. By 11 or 12 it starts to get CROWDED in the lagoons. it was so crowded in the fresh water lagoon that kids were whacking us with their fins!

Regarding the glasses and snorkeling question. I'm quite nearsighted, but the water tends to magnify things and you might not have too much of a problem in the swim/snorkel lagoons without them. You can wear your glasses, with a keeper, (they will even provide one)for the dolphin swim if you wish.
