Soo I have now applied for CP my phone interview is tonight...although at this point I have no idea whether or not I'll be accepted I'm feeling a little torn. Part of me is so excited at this opportunity I may get. And another part of me worries about being gone from home for that semester. I could possibly lose my college scholarship and get taken off my moms insurance. I love college and learning and taking classes. I guess I'm looking for advice or someone going through the same thing. Was the program worth it for those who are very school oriented? I'm thinking I would love to be in the CP, but like I said I'm feeling a little torn. And I guess a lot depends on if I'd even get accepted!! Sorry just kinda stressed about it? :confused3 :sad2:

I am all about school and I'm very hard working when it comes to school. I loved the CP though. Depending on your school, you could take Disney's classes for credit. They have a class about marketing yourself, show production, etc. Or you could take an online class. Either way, I think you could stay on your mom's insurance, but look into that. Just do your best on the phone interview. If you get in, then you can truly consider all the options. If you don't get in, your choice is made. Hope this helps!

Some colleges offer an internship "class" that just requires them to submit a few journal type papers in order to stay a student really cheaply.

For the insurance, look into it for her plan specifically but the new law changes made it hard to get kicked off before you are 26 whether you are a student or not. It is different for some because like mine goes through my dad's union so the changes don't go into effect until June or July but most others have already switched. My mom is an insurance broker or something so I have been going through all of this with her.

Taking online classes is a really great idea! Thanks for your suggestions and advice! Now all I can do is hope for the best tonightin my interview! :upsidedow

I am also applying for CP Fall '11 and I am feeling the same way! I go to school about three hours away from home now, so I'm used to living on my own, but I come home often. I have a three year old sister and we are extremely close! I am excited for this opportunity and really want to get accepted but I am nervous about being so far away from my family! :sad2:

Disneymegs I saw that on another thread you were accepted into the BBB role have you already finished or will you be going in the fall? Seems like we have something in common as that was my #1 choice too! My phone interview just ended at about 9:20 so I'm still kinda nervous about it.

My interview ended at about 9:15 haha! I already finished my program and I'm still working at BBB :). Let me know if you have any questions. You can private message me about your interview and I'll tell you about how mine went :)

i have sooo many questions for you!! ahh lol but since I am such a newbie to the boards it won't let me PM until i've had 10 posts? soo give me a while to get there, i'm a little slow to this :rotfl:

I definitely think that there is a way to balance between school and the CP. I have enough credits that if/when I do the CP next spring, I'll still graduate on time.
