ok this is my first trip report so sorry if i make some mistakes lol

day one
we had a flight from cork airport at 11. didnt sleep much the night before and was in the airport way too early. everything went well and in cdg we were met by our bs transports driver. soon we were checking in at santa fe. our room was ready so we dumped our bags and tried to figure out how to get to the parks. after getting lost twice (who knew you just had to walk straight the whole way there) we were finally entering the disneyland park.

the look on my dd face as we went in just melted my heart i could have went home there and then and it still would have been worth it. luckily the parade was just coming up main street so it was the first thing we saw in dlrp. ash was so excited and i loved the parade. she knew most of the characters i was so proud!!!! we then went down main street and my dd who loves the castle was gasping and saying wow i nearly had to wipe away a tear lol.

we went straight to fantasyland. and had a look around. we did alices maze. it was closed nearly all september but i could see any work had been done it still needed to be painted. we then went on the carosel which my dd loved. and then the rest of them wanted to leave to get something to eat . it was like half five and we hadnt eaten all day so we headed out to annettes and back to the park. later we headed down to the village where i was robbed from the carosel there with my dd lol. all in all it was a good first day but i would have liked to stay in the park till seven but it was to be the first of many compromises

Day Two

So sorry to take so long to update this but at least now i know how to post pics lol.

we were up bright and early for our breakfast. i am not much of a breakfast person but everyone else filled up on toast, pain au chocolat, coffee, hot chocolate, cereal etc. ash was really excited this morning can you tell

before we left ash had to go meet goofy at the santa fe meet and greet.

and off to the park for emh. it was great having the place so empty. i love emh


we went on all the usual rides, iasw, carousel (ashleighs fave this time round) peter pan, pinnochio, teacups, snow white.

then on to discoveryland to do buzz. the sign outside said a 30 minute wait so we didnt go it. i didnt discover till later that for some reason it always said that during emh and there wasnt a queue at all my sis did orbitron, she queued with ash for ages and then just as she put her in the rocket she screamed and my sis had to hand her back over the bars so ash had to watch instead lol.

from there we headed over to frontierland. i loved all the halloween decorations. they werent in your face at all they were very well placed. i had been worried they might scare ash but apparantly she doesnt scare easy

then we saw donald so ash ran over and pulled his tail and he turned around to give her a cuddle. it was nice as she wasnt even in the queue silly girl. i brought her to meet daisy and she got her first ever autograph. she took to that book like a pro lol. and then lilo.

we then made our way back to central plaza and caught the halloween villians showtime.

and then to caseys for a kids meal for ash.

we headed up to cafe mickey for our half one booking. for some reason ash was super cranky and cried the whole time except for when the characters were with her. we all enjoyed our food even though i didnt get to eat most of mine. my mom wanted to taste my salad so she ended up eating that. she didnt like her pasta so i had to swap my lovely steak and they all had left by the time my dessert came so i just about got two mouthfulls while i was paying the bill lol.

mickey mouse got jealosus that friar tuck had my mom all to himself so tried to lure him away

this only resulted in friar tuck taking mickeys bow tie and playing keep away with us. it was so funny. friar tuck really made our meal. ash was upset and he kept coming over and making her laugh. he was pushing me around the restaraunt on my chair much to everyones amusement. he even went and got ash one of those yoghurt drinks. as you can see they were best friends by the end of our meal

after that it was back to the hotel. we walked as we did all this week. why oh why lol. a quick costume change for ash.

and then the walk back to the park for the parade. i have found that the kids wearing costumes get more attention from the characters. i love the halloween pre parade

we then split up as the girls wanted to go on the bigger rides. me and my mom spent the afternoon in fantasyland doing all the rides there and then a walk around to the other parts of the park.

we had a great time going on potc, then phantom manor, and just walking around taking it all in. again i love the halloween decorations

ash fell asleep and me and my mom went to anettes seeing as i couldnt even eat my cafe mickey meal and my mom just has no excuse lol. after our meal we looked around the village and then walked back to the santa fe to meet up with my sis and her friend. we must have been feeling very energetic as we all went back to the village for a walk lol

unfortunately my meal at annettes was my one mistake. my sis felt a bit sick last night and swore it was because of her meal but we all just laughed. well she wasnt sick like i was. i was up all night i have never been in so much pain.

Day 3

So after being sick all night ash woke me up ever so excited at like half six. i knew that nobody else was gonna get up so i got dressed and brought ash to breakfast and into the park for emh at eight. we had a great time even though i looked and felt awful. we did all the usual rides and had the carousel to ourselves for three goes round. yes this was ashleighs fave ride this trip.

just coming up to ten i knew i could hold it together no longer. i decided to head back to the hotel. just to remind everyone this trip we did not find the buses until our last day. so yes i had broken out into a cold sweat and i thought i really wasnt gonna make it back to the hotel. did i also mention that our room was upstairs

so after dragging the buggy upstairs i got into the room and collapsed on the bed. everyone got ready to head to the parks. they didnt want to take ash so left her with me poor girl she had never seen me ill before and i could only get up to go throw up. she was so good though and lay down on the bed taking care of me bless.

sorry there arent pics here but i wasnt there to take any lol.

i missed the whole day in the park but felt okish enough to go to the village that night.

Day 4

I still wasnt feeling great but i was so upset that i had looked forward to this trip for so long i wasnt gonna let it get me down. we headed off to emh again as you can see ash was really ready to get going

emh is great i really love not having to queue for anything. we all went on dumbo and my lovely dd was fed up with staying so low she decided to help me with my fear of heights

off to caseys again for chicken nuggets for ash. i just about managed a few spoons of soup but felt ill again.

i convinced my mom to go have a look in the studios. we didnt see any characters and she didnt like the look of it so we didnt go back there this trip

we headed back to the main park

and caught the character express

then we went around doing our usual rides again. and back to the hotel for a rest. we made our way back to catch the ouad parade

we walked around the castle there are some nice spots there to take pics

we did more rides again. basically anything that didnt have a huge queue and ash could get on

tonight i got to watch candleabration for the one and only time this trip. my mom had no interest in it. ash on the other hand was so excited. she climbed up me and stood on my throat trying to see. i lovely lady called me and made her kids push over for me and ash. that was really nice of her as we hadnt been waiting to see it. i really enjoyed it but its not very effective in the light is it

we spent the night as usual walking around the village looking in the shops. the girls went to the arcade and then the lovely walk back to the santa fe

Day 5

This was our last day. i was so sad i didnt want to go home at all lol. we all went together for emh. i took my last opportunity to take pics lol

we did our rounds on the rides and then queued up for the winnie the pooh meet and greet. we didnt wait long and a lovely lady taught my 17 year old sis the words to deep in the hundred acre woods much to her complete embarrassment.

after a bit of wandering around we split up again and my my mom and ash went to get ice cream and a coffee for my mom

here a lady sat at our table while talking to friends at the next table and my mom spilt her coffee and it went all over the poor woman and in her handbag and everything. my mom didnt know what to do she was trying to clean the lady and her belongings with tissue i felt so bad but me and ash were crying laughing. the lady was extremly cross and my mom so embarrassed she had to get up and leave us sitting there

we went through our usual routine and after the parade we went back to the hotel as my mom was getting tired. we went into the bar at the santa fe and left ash play in the kids area

we then met up with my sister and her friend and for the first time ever we got the bus to the park for mnsshp

i got so excited to be in the park in the dark and took so many pics that didnt turn out lol that my camera went dead just as i got under the castle.

the mnsshp was brilliant my moms highlight of the evening was being pushed out of the way by cruella devil there were characters all over the place. the rides were a walk on and the atmosphere was great.

we fell into bed that night and were all straight asleep. we had a great trip and were all sad to be leaving. the next morning we didnt have tickets to the park so we just packed up and hung around the hotel as we were being collected at one. ash met mickey and goofy several times this morning. she didnt like hanging around though and the only way to keep her quiet

yeah i loved halloween over there. i am hoping to go back again for halloween this year. i still have all the songs in my head

yeah i was so mad they wouldnt take her as i was really to sick to mind her and she was missing out and the trip was for her lol. but i think i have let it go although it did take a long time
