I have just let a few yelllow balloons with Madeleine's picture and the phone numbers to call attached to them. I hope that they can help to find her.

There was a balloon release in Chippenham at midday today Gems - they released 50 balloons with her picture attached. We were going to go down for it but I was stuck in a meeting

Kaylee, cos it's been 50 days since Madeleine went missing they are releasing 50 green and yellow balloons everywhere all over the world with a picture of her and the crime stoppers and Portugal police phone numbers on the tag attached. I didn't release 50, but I thought every little bit can help?

I didn't think of releasing any myself, I thought it was an organised event in 50 countries, I didn't realise individuals could take part too.

Apparently 5 different people have reported seeing her in Malta recently - fingers crossed that something comes of it this time.

I think you might find it was done for children all around the world who are missing.

If thats correct then that's a very good worthwhile initiative. Too many children around the world and their parents are suffering from these kidnappings day in day out.

If its centred around one child, then this becomes just part of the obsessed "circus" which has become this awful abduction.

I know that this can get emotional, so I will not continue to put my point of view, but safe to say the parents who left three children alone in a locked room whilst enjoying some "me" time, have now turned this into a media circus when, if they looked after those little children properly, this would NEVER have happened in the first place!.

Also, lets not close any door in this very sad matter, many criminals like Huntley for example, are the ones who get themselves into the limelight as its part of their warped nature.

Joanne UK - I own a balloon and party shop so I just blew them up with helium myself. But you would have been able to get yellow ballooons for it from your local party shop.

Obi - I know that there are many children missing in the world and they are all just as important as Madeliene, I am sure that you have put your opionons on the boards on the previous threads regarding the circumstances of her abduction, so there fore didn't really need to do so again here. The point of this thread was to see if anyone else was taking part in the WORLDWIDE release of balloons for the cause. To be perfectly honest with you I think we should try and forget how she went missing, blame can eat you up, and concentrate on anything we can do to help to find that little girl safe and well. Should other parents of missing children organise such activities to help with their plight then I would not hesitate in helping. To call it a circus is cruel and very unhelpful.
