Ive never stayed at the swan, but i was going to and I saw pictures on the internet, and the swan doesnt compare to the AKL in WDW Magic, ya know. But you should check up with someone who has stayed at both!

that's what I thought, but my hubby is a firefighter/paramedic so the government employee rate at Swan is pretty tempting ($169), but since I've never stayed onsite I don't want to miss out on "magic factor" so this is a tough choice... Are you celebrating something w/ May trip or just going for fun and lack of crowds in May?

Wow! Sounds like a blast to go in a big group..is it family? I just got accepted to my doc residency, HURRAY! but means I will have to move out of state w/o hubby or any family for 12 months so we are going to WDW to create some memories to tide us through the long distance next year. Nice to meet a fellow Disney addict, by the way

Yes same here. It is me, my mom, dad, brother, aunt, cusion and cusins 2 daughters (5 and 9). That's nice that your going to Disney to make memories before you leave.

Have you been to WDW w/ a big group before? I have read about special opportunties if you have a magical gathering of 8 or more and am wondering if you are planning any of those?

I have been with a big group before, 8. But we never did Grand Gatherings. This year however we are. We are going on a Pirate Ship and getting a special veiw of fireworks, and a buffett.

(Have stayed at AKL, BC (twice) and Poly (twice).
