So I said I would never invite my family to vacation at Disney with us. My father and I tend to never agree on anything so I knew it would not be fun to do Disney with him. My Mom would be a blast to do Disney with. My brother and his wife, well I've not spent much time with them so I'm not sure what to expect.

Anyway my Brother wanted to get all the family together for Christmas, but we can't afford that after doing Disney this september, and my and my DD visiting Grandparents over the summer vacation. So I did what I said I would never do and invited them to join us at Disney in September.

Part of me really hopes they don't want to do this. At least they have to make thier minds very quickly if they want to get the free dining. One of my big concerns is Dining reservations. I made mine at 180 days and even managed to snag a res at Le Celier. I'm sure my chances of adding 4 more people to the reservations might be hards in some locations and down right imposible at others.

One good thing is we are staying Sept 19 to 30th and I know they wont stay that long. So they can't ruin my whole vacation, just the start of it.

So here is to a moment of insanity and hoping that they just say NO!

Good Luck!

We had that same week moment:rotfl2:

We will be going with my parents, brother, sister-in-law, their 5 kids in the spring.
The kids will have a great time, though.

Just allow people to do their own thing sometimes.

Me DH, DD16 and DS10 always go on vacation to DW and other places with the with out the whole crew, we very seldom vacation without the extended family that includes 3 dsis, niece and nephew and Mom and sometimes an aunt and uncle or the occasional inlaw, and we've never had a bad time thats why we do it, its frustrating at times but the good always out way the bad. So don't worry about you'll have a great time.

I've been working really hard on saying No.

It took a few trips like the one you're describing above to encourage me to be better about No.

Don't worry, either you'll have a good vacation and you'll have fun or it'll help you to get to the happy No place :thumbsup2 .

Our first trip to WDW in 2006 was with both sets of parents and our two kids. They all get along, so I wasn't worried. But, of course, there's always one who says she didn't do what she wanted to do. So, blah! LOL We just went in Feb of 2008 again with the neighbours and their kids and it was a lot different for sure! Enjoyed it all, but did not have nearly enough time to do everything as there's another set of kids to worry about. We're going back in November of 2009 and guess what? My parents are coming with us!!! :scared1: My husband says I'm a nut but I'm sure it'll be fine. I hope...

Been there, done that, Will never, never do it again. I took my MIL and DH's Aunt. What a mistake!! 9 days with my MIL is like being in H**L :rotfl2: Our relationship has not been the same since and that was 06.

I wish you luck and hope for your sake they decline.

YAY!! My brother said no he has an irrational fear of Disney and would not go. So I no longer have to worry about our trip. We will go just te 3 of us and have a great time. Oh and today marks 100 days till our trip. Tomorow I will be in the double digits.
