Just in case, how do you change SWA fares for a DING?

When SWA lowers their airfare on their website, I know how to switch my flights to get the lower fare and a credit. But, when you get a Ding! fare that's better, how do you do it? It looks like you have to book directly through the Ding! window, which would pass over the Travel Center area to use funds already there.

You have to cancel your original flight and then use the travel funds to purchase the DING fare. It's best to check and make sure your DING flight is available for your travel times/dates and have it already to book. Then open another window to cancel your first flight and get the travel funds. Then in the DING window you can just click apply travel funds and your money is automatically there!!

i used these instructions from "cranbiz" who posted this on another thread.

The trick is to make sure that you have flight availability at the Ding fare.

If so, then you need to open 2 browser windows, make all the arraingements except the payment. Once at the payment window, go to your other browser window and go to the travel center and cancel your flights, At that time you will have ticketless travel funds available. go back to the other window and select the use ticketless travel funds. The confermation number of your old ressie will be the conf# used for your ticketless travel funds.

You should then be all set and have a balance to use for another trip.
