Just how large is CSR...compared to CBR?

In comparison to CBR, I know CSR is smaller, but just HOW much smaller? We had an eternal walk from our room at CBR to the food court! We were in Trinidad south. With all the walking we do while at WDW, at the end of the day I just want to be near the food court.

Now I know that you can pay extra for a preferred room at CBR. I sure wish I had known that before our trip! Can you do the same at CSR, or do you even need to?

We spent one night of this last trip at POP. We were in the 90's building with the computer. The walk to the food court was ok, much better than CBR.

Can anyone give me some comparisons please. TIA!!

There are no preferred rooms at CSR, but ask to be in Casitas 1 or 2 or Cabanas 9 and you will be closest to the El Centro. CSR is some smaller, only 4 bus stops instead of 7.

Personally I felt I walked more at CSR than CBR. At least at CBR the main pool is next to the food court.

CBR surrounds a 45 acre lake while CSR surrounds only a 15 acre lake.

CBR has 7 bus stops while CSR has only 4 bus stops.

CBR has 2,112 rooms while CSR only has 1,921 rooms.

CBR has no elevators while every building at CSR has an elevator.

That is true but for most people they don't make the circuit around the lake to get anywhere at CBR.

Nor would they at CSR but it gives a picture of the enormous size of CBR.

is there a bridge across the lake anywhere? is there a "grab 'n go" section of the food court or is it all sit-down @ pepper market? is there more than one "main" pool (i.e. themed and/or w/a slide)? is there more than one arcade? do they offer any room service beyond pizza delivery?

Iis there a bridge across the lake anywhere? Yes, there is a wooden bridge across the lake from the cabana section.

is there a "grab 'n go" section of the food court or is it all sit-down @ pepper market? The little store has a grab and go section and the Pepper Market has "TO GO" tickets so you can avoid the 10% gratuity charge. Just ask for a "TO GO " ticket and you can eat outside on the tables overlooking the lake or by the pool.

Is there more than one "main" pool (i.e. themed and/or w/a slide)? One main pool and three good size quiet pools. Pics on my website below.

Is there more than one arcade? There used to be two but they closed the one at the main building to enlarge Francisco's (the lounge). Now there is only one by the main pool area.

When we last stayed at CSR they had wonderful shuttle carts that circled the resort - taking people to and from point a to point b. It was great - walked when we felt like it...rode when we didn't. Are they still in use?

I didn't know CSR had a full menu room service option. More like a deluxe in that respect.
