do we need to show up to line up at the fence if we want to try to race to get Palo reservations? Call me crazy, but I'm all about that brunch. :rotfl: I know we will still have a fabulous time without it, but would like to at least try for it! :) thanks!

Port at 10am, and try and get a low boarding card, then when its called go to where they are being taken. -note on the welcome on board navigator, the time and location.

It's been over six years since our last cruise...pls. remind me about the boarding card process...

Thanks!

When you enter the line to checkin, they will give you a boarding card along with a small health form. The boarding card will have a number on it. Like airplanes, when it comes time to board, they will call 1 number at at time so there's no mad rush to get on the ship. The lower the number, the earlier you can get on the ship.

A few years ago, you used to get the boarding card at the top of the escalator when you entered the terminal, but they now use the boarding card to ensure you had your security photos taken as well so they give them out in the checkin line, and then they are stamped when you get your security photos taken.

Regardless of when you board, I thought that dining changes/reservations were not open until 1? Can someone please confirm? We are looking to add 2 to our existing Palo brunch reservation for 2. Thanks!

I'll be right there with you goodfaerie trying to get a brunch ressie :) I think i I read correctly they open at 1pm to change/add dining ressies...someone correct me if I'm wrong?

In August (on a packed-full cruise) we had boarding pass #16. We were onboard around 11:30, had lunch at Parrot Cay first, then went to get Palo ressies. I don't remember if it was after 1:00 or not, but there was no line and we got exactly what we wanted as far a s day/time for a table for 3. My point is, I don't think you have to stress out about racing to get a reservation. Relax and have a great time!:goodvibes

well, now I really don't know what the heck I'm supposed to do. Some people told me on the disboards that we have to check in, then literally RUN to Wavebands to get our Palo reservations.:scared1: I don't know why I picked this to worry about, but here it is anyway...

Hey ClosetMickey and Kelsey'sMommy: just add the two of us to your Palo Brunch list, okay? :rotfl:

But seriously. Can anyone else chime in here? I'm gettin' conflicting reports...

Thanks all!!!

The answer varies depending on which ship you are on.

On the Magic, they take Palo reservations from 12pm-3:30pm in Rockin' Bar D, and from 3:30-5pm via voice mail.

On the Wonder, Palo reservations are from 1pm-3:30pm in Wavebands, and 3:30-5pm via voice mail.

[These times were taken straight from my 12/12/09 and 1/10/10 Navigators]

So on the Wonder, they start 1 hour later than on the Magic, so it depends on which ship you are on as to how much you should "race".

If Palo is what you want, then make that your first stop, or have someone take care of Palo while the rest of your group heads to lunch.

I was very frustrated at the amount of people that still clog up the entrance when they call numbers. We literally had to squeeze our way through the crowds in order to get to the CM to hand in our boarding card and get on the ship.

Please, please, please do not crowd the area and let people through!!!

just to ease your mind..worst case scenario there are no brunch times left you can have your name put on a wait list:confused3
They will call you if something opens up. Or you can check back periodically through the cruise.
I've heard of plenty of people getting a table this way.
