Just how busy will Hollywood Studios be when TSL opens?

Except that they are opening a new QS place inside TSL, so no need to leave to eat. And even if they do, it's not like they're going very far. HS is still going to smaller than AK.

Thats what I meant when I said they will be limited. It is supposed to be limited american fare and root beer floats.

I am going to be sad when it opens because lots of the "it's a half day park" people are gonna start going again and cramp my families style while we are trying to get in our 3 TOT rides, 3 ST rides 2 TSMM rides, 2 RnRR rides, Frozen sing along, March of the First Order, Star Wars meet and greets, Muppetvision, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular and (may it rest in peace now) Great Movie Rides. We may have to start spending 2 days there!

The 1/2 day park people are those with hoppers. I think there's an even larger contingent out there without hoppers that would skip DHS every other trip but will not anymore due to TSL opening up.

Remember back when TSMM opened up and the crowds were crazy. I do remember our first trip to DHS months after TSMM opened and we didn't even get a chance to ride it (most likely because we flew in that morning, but still all the old FP were long gone).

Let's just face it, if it's new and it's Disney folks are going to flock there. I want the record to show that in my opinion this is the beginning of crazy crowds in DHS.

When M&MRR opens next year in DHS and, of course, when SWGE is open - I even think the likelihood of phased closures of DHS will come into play during holiday weeks.

I agree crowds will be very heavy for Toy Story Land. I know there's lots of adult-only groups that go to WDW, but the vast majority of groups at WDW are families with children. Toy Story is almost universally beloved, especially by children. There's a spinning ride and a roller coaster that littles can ride. TSMM has always been, and still it, extremely popular. It's going to be packed.

This will be the test to see if people are drawn more by theme or the unique ride. People didn't care about the Avatar theme, but the unique ride draws tons of people. Toy Story has a lot more appeal as a theme, but the rides are pretty much off the shelf with a bit of theming. I've ridden Mader's Junkyard Jamboree in California (which is what the Alien ride is copied from) and it's kind of fun, but nothing I would go out of my way to ride more than once.

And we loved Mater's Junkyard and rode it several times. Now, I wouldn't wait an hour to ride it, but I wouldn't wait an hour to ride anything.

My kids absolutely LOVE those type rides, so I can see this being one they would want to do multiple times, for sure.

55 minutes for Slinky on 4th of July at noon and both rides in Pandora are still over 90 minutes. I guess we know now that TSL isnt as popular as Pandora and we are less than a week into TSL.
