Just how busy will Hollywood Studios be when TSL opens?

Plus 7DMT is in a park with plenty of other attractions for guests of all ages. I have to think Slinky Dog will will have very long lines for a very long time.

Not only that, but I've yet to even see a FP for it in the 3 years 7DMT has been open.

I've gotten FOP Fp's.

I'm betting that crowds will be gigantic.

An hour or so? 7DMT has been open for over 3 years, and standby waits are still at an hour for most of the day. Standby waits for Slinky Dog will likely be at 2 hours or more through the end of the year at least.

Yeah but that is in the busiest park in the world and almost everyone in that park wants to ride it. Most people visiting Orlando and going to a single park visit MK and only MK.

It will have a wait initially for all the locals to ride it but people will not flock to HS for a family friendly coaster. They arent flocking there for Frozen or Star Wars which are both relevant right now.

Star wars has a height limit of 40. Our DD3 can only ride TSMM there right now. This opens up a land where she can now ride more things.

Also, have you seen that Frozen show?

And people did flock to FEA at Epcot......still do....

Neither Star Wars nor Frozen have rides at DHS (so far of course).

That is a special case that does not apply to most families.

I don't really get the argument that since a sub par Frozen show and a 30 yr old simulator with new scenes don't pull in the masses, that TSL wont be that crowded.

I'm going to go a little more conventional with logic, and say that it will be immensely popular and crowded. People who skipped HS because their kids were too small for the majority of rides there will now have an entire land where they meet the requirements. Not to mention the popular theme....

I mean, it seems like nothing anyone can say will change your opinion, which is fine. Why keep arguing with people?

Have I changed your opinion? Why cant people have differing opinions and discuss them? Isnt that what makes this message board fun to read? Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

I guess we will all see in a few months. Like Pete says on the weekly show, DHS is half a park right now. This might make it 3/4 of a park. I dont see people using a park day ticket to ride a family coaster at a park that doesnt have much else to offer.

Toy Story land will be crowded for at least a year and maybe longer. There may be some hope of lesser crowds in the extra magic hour mornings. I noticed they are having extra magic hours from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Not everyone will want to get up that early if you can get there before 7:00 am.

If it isn't super crowded, then I guess we can all breathe a sigh of relief. But I disagree with Pete that it is a 1/2 day park. We were there from RD through the end of the SW Galactic fireworks show, and there were still some things we felt we missed out on. We also went during a slower time of year, so we probably would have done even less than anticipated had we visited during a more normal time of year with bigger crowds.
