We got home an hour ago and just wanted to jump on and say we had a really lovely 5 day stay at AKV-Jambo. Our room was ready early, our savannah view studio was nice, our order from garden grocer delivered perfectly, the bus rides were survivable, the parks didn't seem too busy, we got away from commando style touring, we all loved the MNSSHP, Boma still impresses, the pool at AKL is awesome, and we just overall had a lovely time. Might be time to add on more points.

BTW, I love the AKL decor.

How come great stays don't get as many replies as problems stays?

I'm glad you had a nice time, and I probably agree that it may be time for you to add on!:goodvibes I also like AKV Jambo very much!

This year my DH arrived at WDW with a bad cramp in his leg and we were unable to make MNSSHP, but we've done it in the past and love them. I'm glad you enjoyed yours.

However, I'm not that thrilled with Boma's assortment of food for dinner, breakfast was fine.

I especially enjoy taking to the CMs from different countries. When I was there on Sept. 30th Botswana was celebrating independence day!

Sounds almost like heaven! :cloud9:

Pretty darn close!! Ahhh, I have a smile on my face remembering it.

Bobbiwoz, I actually think the wife will be up for adding on also at some point when we have some extra money laying around.

As for Boma, I really enjoyed all the different types of food and the different flavors. We took the tour of Boma and Jiko and learned all about the 70 types of different foods before we sat and feasted.

Glad you had a nice stay at Jambo. We head to Kidani on Thursday:cool1: hopefully our trip is as pleasant as yours!

So nice to hear you enjoyed your time at AKV. We love it too. Addonitis is very contagious. Happened to us when we stayed at AKV and BLT!

Glad to hear that you had a great time at AKV. We love it there. when you say survivable in terms of the buses, what do you mean? We were at Kidani in the summer and the buses were great. Were there issues on your trip?

we have already added on twice to our AKV contract, so happy add on if you go that way!

Hi lugnut33,
Thanks for sharing and glad to hear you had such a nice time. :thumbsup2 I agree that AK is fantastic. I have stayed twice and love it. :lovestruc It is nice to read such a positive review. Thanks again for sharing. :goodvibes

We'll be at Kidani in 32 days!!! I can't wait.

Glad you had a great trip. I'm looking forward to relaxing on our balcony watching the animals on the savannah.

Stayed at Kidani and doing it again in January. I love that place! The 1BR and 2BR have another bathroom and can sleep one more person. Jambo has all the cool stuff though, but it's quite close :)

Oh, but a tip, sometimes you can get stuck with a room way way way away from the lobby. See if they'll give you one closer to the lobby when you check in.

Glad to hear about your great time! We'll be AKV Kidani way in 39 days. But who's counting? ;)

Well, there have been so many negative comments lately about the busses. Personally, I think they do a great job, but I still don't care for using them.

The one request I could make when doing on-line check-in was to be "close to transportation". We actually ended up one section away from being the farthest you can be away from transportation. LOL, it was no big deal though. I didn't mind the extra walking and our room was ready at 12:30 when we checked in.

:thumbsup2 Our trip to AKV is in 29 days !!! Glad you had a great time.

Great to hear! I'm making my first trip home in 27 days--Jambo, savanna view. Can't wait.

Glad you had a nice vacation. We were there in September and stayed at the Kidani resort with Savana view and it was great. Can't wait to do it again. AKV is my home resort.
