Just home and having Disney withdrawal!

We had another great trip and such gorgeous weather! I just hate leaving and tend to get very upset. Our kids, ages 3 and 5, had such a blast. It's such a magical place for them at these ages. Heck - for me too! I'm feeling so sad right now!

We had only a couple of problems on our trip...my DH was sick right from the beginning. Eventually, he passed his virus on to both of our children. They have virus-induced asthma and started to get pretty sick. We had to cut our trip one day short because we felt they were too ill to re-visit the MK. They were devastated and so were we. But we didn't want to risk their health - especially with a 20 hour drive ahead of us.

The other downer was the fact that we got stuck on rides not once - but four times. We got stuck inside Spaceship Earth twice for about 20 minutes each time. We also got stuck inside the Pooh ride for about 15 minutes and the Haunted Mansion for abour 10 minutes. I had just convinced my 3 year old to go in the mansion, and it just wasn't a ride I wanted to have a problem on, you know!? I'm not sure why we had such bad experiences, but I started holding my breath on every ride.

Other than all that, it was great and even with the problems - I am still so sad to be home again.

Glad you had a great trip even with the illnesses. That is my biggest vacation fear, dd getting sick. Where did you stay?

My in-laws are timshare owners there. They are still there now! Wish I was too!

Sorry to hear about the illness. Our DD has just been diagnosed with asthma, and my biggest fear is that it'll flare up while we're away. So, we're keeping the medications handy at all times.

We're also staying at the Vistana! Any reviews good, bad or otherwise? We're renting a car after asking them about the shuttle service (didn't sound promising), and requested the Cascades. Who knows what we'll get!

Can't wait!

Sorry to hear about your family's virus troubles.... happened to my DH when we were there in December. I could not have a good time until he started feeling better. I think the haunted mansion and spaceship earth are showing signs of age....broke down when we were on them too!
