Just have to tell somebody

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have just have to tell somebody.

I went to check the mail today and DD11 got a letter stating she was accepted into her middle school's Disney's Y.E.S. program for the upcomming year. So, now she gets to spend 6 days down in Disney doing a couple of special educational programs that they have.

I'm so happy for her!!!

scammermom, I had never heard of this program until DD brought the paper home from her school. I do know it is something that the school has to set up and decide to participate in. From the papers we received, it is a very well thought out program. If you could get your school interested, it's an opportunity that shouldn't be missed.

Thanks for all the wonderful replies everyone. DD is excited beyond belief.

Unfortunately, I won't get to plan any of this for her. The teachers that are going to chaperone have this totally planned out. Though, the art teacher that is going seems to be pretty excited about the trip too. DD is looking forward to sharing her Disney knowledge with her. Nice to know that teachers can share our enthusiasm too.
