That despite SANDY leaving us without power and cancelled flight we made it on our original flight day 10/31 at midnight to beautiful WDW and SSR!!!! Really felt guilty,maybe not the right word,leaving our powerless home and friends and family reeling from the wrath of Sandy...but we went.Wanted to say that it was a glorious trip. SSR Carousel room was in great condition and despite the bad rap that section gets now with the Paddock pool and food it is awesome. Short walk to bus stop too. Love walking the grounds--immaculate and beautiful. Food and Wine is great!!! This year we did 1 of each deminars and Tequila Lunch. That was the best!!!Will do again next year!! Already planning!!! Just wanted to mention that we met many who were affected by Sandy or who had family and friends that were. I felt very humbled by them sharing their stories with us and hoping to help comfort them. CMs were great and of course living in Fla they are no strangers to hurricanes!!! I felt a bond with our DVC group. Been a member since 2003 and I don't know but this time I really felt like I was truely at HOME. So lucky to be part of the DVC family and be to be able to enjoy all that it offers. Did the Fantasyland preview too!!! Super cool and Be Our Guest is WOW!!!! CAN't WAIT to return in FEB and share fun times with our family!!! Bless all those affected by SANDY and LOVE MY DVC!!!!!!!!
