Just wanted to share my good news... I've been contemplating a quick trip in Sept (anticipating free dining again) and have been pricing things out randomly. I check here often for codes, etc and have been seeing everyone's luck w/ 20-40% off. I called last week and there were no codes for me. So I placed a request for the planning DVD. I haven't received it yet or any emails, snail mails, etc. Called today just for fun, to see if anything changed. A nice guy named Skip helped me get a 40% off code (only after I asked about discounts)!!! Here's what I ended up with:
WL - woods view
2 adults, 2 yo DS (free)
4 day MYW w/ hopper
Basic dining plan
No insurance
Sept 8-13, 2008 (5 nights)
$1773.42

That's exactly what happened to me. My CM gave me price quotes for the regular rates, then I asked about aaa rates (we are members). Finally I asked "is there any other discounts going on for those dates" (Aug.). He put me on hold to check, then said "I can give you 30% off" .
I had called a few times for the same dates, but only this time did the CM offer a discount. I don't remember his name, but he was really patient and very helpful. Needless to say, we got GF for $269/night. (which, I think, is a good rate) It's $385 normally....

Makes it sound as though these arent 30% codes attached to a persons name, but instead discounts that are available at the CM's discretion....

has anyone already had a trip booked, and then called to find out about a code and receive one. I feel that since they see I already have a trip booked they will not ' give ' me a discount since I am going already.

We are booked for Sept 26 thru Oct 5th with free dining but I would like to move a week or so later so we can go over Columbus day.

I booked our trip last August.

In January I received the 40% PIN code in the mail.

We have 6 people in our family 2 Aduts, 1 Disney Adult and 3 Children

We had 2 rooms at Pop for 8 nights

8 day park hoppers for 6 people

48 TS Meals (all of which were character meals) 48 CS Meals and 48 snacks

Last year during free dining our trip cost $2550.00 with trip insurance! We save over $1300! We will never get a code that will save us that much money.

Last year my BIL and SIL went to Disney with us. They had 2 adults, 2 children and 1 toddler with them.

8 Nights at POP

8 Day Park Hoppers

32 TS Meals (all character meals) 32 CS Meals and 32 Snacks

Their total during our 8 day Free Dining vacation was only $1537.00. So cheap!

My problem is , we have to go in June, because of Granddaughter's Dance Competition Team will be dancing, and they do not offer Codes for discounts in June, Do they??????

Just called again and still no code, but the CM was really nice and kept telling me to keep checking back because they add codes all the time and just because there wasn't 1 today doesn't mean there won't be one tomorrow. AGGGGH, it's just so aggrevating! I hate knowing that so many people are paying less than I am, but they have me. I wish I could say that I won't go unless I get a discount, but I will.

Yep, already had dates in aug booked for Pop. Called yesterday and was told we had a pin code attached to our name, so we got them to give us the pin # so we could decide if we wanted to upgrade or not. Ended up calling back and giving the nice CM the pin code and upgraded to POR. Will be our first time at that resort.
