Our trip is just around the corner and I am so excited. The kids have no idea and we will surprise DD on Apil 3rd the day of her b-day party with a big box full of disney things for her and her brother and a couple balloons to let her know we will be going to Disney for her actual b-day April 8th ahhhh I can't wait!!!!

Yay for you! Of course, you'll have an amazing time. My parents took me to Disneyland when my brother and I were younger, but it was never like a "surprise trip." I sort of wish my parents would have done that for us at least once, just because I'm sure it'd have been the surprise of my life!

I guess I'll just have to let my parents know that even though I'm 21 now, its still not to late :rolleyes1:laughing:.

Sounds great! The closest I got to surprising my DD10 was a few years ago we planned a last minute trip and I made a "Surprise we're going to Disney World" banner about 2 weeks before we left. That's the best I could do. ;)

Have a great time! I lived in Northern California as a kid and I will never forget packing the car up for what I thought was a camping trip, only to pull up to Disneyland! One of my favorite memories.

VERY cool! Hope you guys have a great time! Don't forget to get her a bday button at City Hall (or a lot of the shops have them too if the CH line is really long)

i made a note not to forget the button thanks

OP,
My birthday is April 5th (party on APril 4th) and we will be at Disney on April 8th. Wish my trip was a birthday present. Unfortunately as an adult I am paying for my own birthday trip. Tell your daughter Happy Birthday and that April birthday's are the best!!!!

About 6 years ago we did something similar for my nieces. I told them that we were taking my cousin to the airport and than we would do something fun for the day. When we got to the airport they didn't think anything of us waiting in line with my cousin at the ticket counter. When we got to the front and gave the lady our tickets she said 4 traveling to LA today. Their eyes got as big as saucers and they started jumping up and down and screaming we're going to Disneyland. Everyone around us laughed. They are now teens and still talk about when I suprised them with that Disney trip.
