We just had our offer accepted at BWV 150 pts. 120.00/pt. Very nervous, but it looks like it should go through Disney, right? Reassure me we are making right decision. We live in Ohio but average at least 1 trip/year, sometimes two. I know if bought in 2007 when we started going, we would have paid for it by now. My husband figures with shorter contract to 2042 we are playing 1800/year. i told him 7 nights at POP is at least 1500. We are making the right decisions, right?

Imo, $120pp is a little high for boardwalk. Did you already put in a down payment? That price points seems more like BLT prices.

If you’re sure you’re ok with that price and resort, Just make sure you can:
1. Book 7-11mo in advance
2. Can afford to pay cash
3. Will go every year for the next 10yrs

Good luck.

I think you made a great choice. We love the Boardwalk and stay there often. Walking to Epcot and Hollywood Studios is the great. There's an easy boat ride if you don't want to walk or are too tired at the end of the day. There is a Speedway that you can walk to from the Boardwalk to buy cheap soda/beer/snacks. While $120 may not seem like a great price to some, it is what the BWV's are going from from most re sellers (some even higher). With the upcoming price increases from Disney and Star Wars coming on line in the near future, I think that BWV will only go higher and become more difficult to get due to popularity. Have fun and enjoy.

We love Boardwalk too it's a great resort and standard view are a bonus for making the most of your points. If you are happy with the price I would go for it, I wouldn't pay that much if it is a stripped contract, good luck.

I don't really understand use year. I hope June is ok. I am a teacher so we usually go early June and Christmas break.

June will work just fine for those travel dates. It's banking deadline is Jan 31st and it helps to have a UY where trips are within the banking window in case you have to cancel and can't reschedule a trip until the next UY. You'd be able to bank the points as long as they hadn't already been banked and as long as you cancelled 31 days or more in advance of check in.

Love Boardwalk!! Considering the work being done on Epcot and HS, I think you’ll be happy with the choice :-) A few more dollars per point isn’t a lot over the life of he contract.

Also I wouldn’t worry too much, it should pass. Last month my 150pt BWV contract passed at $115/pt that had two years of MF free points.

I would be pretty confident it will make it through ROFR. If you use it then you are making the right decision. I also hope you plan on taking advantage of the 7 to 11 month window at the Boardwalk because not always available under 7 months. Congrats!!! Enjoy it!!!

The Boardwalk is our Home Resort and we enjoy our stays there so much that we don't need to stay at other DVC resorts. When we purchased we were told to buy where you would like to stay, with the new projects in the Studios' and Epcot starting to happen(finally) it will be a great Resort to call Home!

Our first contract ws BWV and we love it! We go each fall for Food and Wine Festival. Love being able to walk to EPCOT and Hollywood studios. Will be really nice when TSL and SWGE open. Walking around the boardwalk at night is just fun.
Good luck passing ROFR, although at the price you paid, I would be surprised to see it taken.
