First time stay at the 'Swolphin'. I take a solo weekend once/twice a year and drop off the planet for a couple of days.
Room was nice though smaller than exepected. Very clean and cheery. Staff was among the friendliest I've ever experienced, though my room was next to a maid station and a couple of the
ladies went at each other at a high decibel level one afternoon :)
On site restaurants good. Dinner choice was either the buffeteria
or Shula's. Hmmmm, had to go next door to the Swan or Boardwalk for something in between. Grotto pool VG. Ate at the
brew pub on the bdwalk one night, VG and at the Swan the next
also VG. The Dolphin breakfast buffet was BOTH better and 3 bucks cheaper ($14 vs. $17) than the Swan's breakfast buffet.
Overall, though I liked it alot, I'd have to say I like MOWC a bit better. On these escape weekends location/park proximity/transportation doesnt matter that much. MOWC definitwely has a better pool and the rooms are a tad bigger I think, too. I think though, if I paid near rack rate for the Dolphin, I'd definitely be disappointed. Then again, I'm spoiled by the likes of Vegas' Venetian and Ceasar's Palace Tower for $1-something a night :)

-cheers,
Steve in St Pete.
