Just had a call

Virgin Atlantic have just called me to see if I have everything ready for our flight next week!
She confirmed we have our kids meals booked.
She then offered discounted upgrades for our outbound, oooh I said, how much? £269 PER PERSON!!
Oooh no I said!!

Anyone else had a call like this?

Think I will ask at the airport what the upgrade price is on the day, you never know, there may be some

I have not had a call, but didn't book directly with VA. I will also try the upgrade question at baggage checkin (I guess that is probably the best/first place to try it).

Sounds like they may have empty PE seats on the flight. Suggest you try asking at check in to see how much they want for those seats then

Our upgrade price on the day was £199 so it may be worth waiting, as long as you didn't mind staying in economy.

I'm seriously considering this as the upgrade price now is closer to £500 each one way!

It's been AGES since I flew last (1999 in fact) but in my mind I can justify £75 - £100 for an upgrade perhaps.. Maybe my opinion will change once I have been on a plane again.
