I got the same email. Do you need to call to get the discounted rate? I've been playing around with dates the lowest price I've found online has been 189.00.

I got the email too, was so excited until I realized our dates in June weren't included.

I think you do need to call for the rate. Also, this rate is applied to the special they are running and for teachers. I had a teacher's rate until I got the email, so I called and had my rate changed. When I looked at my reservation it still said teacher's rate but at the $129 rate. I called and they said they are running that rate for both categories. If you don't get it for the special deal, and you are a teacher, try the teacher category.

keishashadow,
On the website for the Swan and the dolphin it says "Summer Special Value Rates starting as low as 189.00 for June 16th through September 4th 2006. Call and reserve your room now. Maybe it will help you.

Thanks for the info Dizzyworld

Yes, call the number on the bottom of the email. I also go this email this evening and called. $129 plus a free upgrade so a courtyard view for $143.84 a night inc taxes. There is no more resort fee but there is an $8 per day self parking fee. Still a lot less then a standard view room at the YC/BC or BWI. I am very happy.

I called and upgraded from our government rate of $129 for a standard view, which I had thought was awesome. Now I have a Lake View for the $129+. That and we switched from OKW to BWV today so our whole vacation in August is at the Epcot Resorts! :cloud9:

I got the email too! I booked right away by calling the number.

I also signed up to be a starwood preferred guest!

I am so excited :Pinkbounc

Hi,
I hope it's okay to ask a question. I'm not trying to hijack the thread.
Where on the Swan/Dolphin site do you sign up to be on the list for the special rates and offerings?
Thanks

i got it to, but i thought you could not get the dining plan and stay there so i dont thinkwe will use it

:tink:I just booked today. I’m so excited!!  $129/night for a water view room?!?! :cool1: :cool1: You can’t beat that. It’s going to be so great to be so close to Epcot and MGM. Oh, and the boardwalk. I can’t wait!!!! All that plus the heavenly beds!!! :cloud9:

This just a big pile of pixie dust dumped on me. pixiedust:

I originally had a teacher's rate of $155 for a standard room. Called and re-booked/adjusted my reservation when the rate dropped to $129 for a standard room. Called again today and they applied this to my 2 night reservation Aug.11 and 12. I now have $129/night plus the free room upgrade! Keep it coming!
:cheer2:

This is really exciting because we had just narrowed down our hotel choice to the Swan/Dolphin for our Aug 19-27 trip. We tried for the Contemporary or POR and could not get them. Contemporary is totally booked and we can't stay in POR because they won't let you book the trundle bed rooms if there is not a guest under 10 yrs old (my son is 11). I was totally bummed yesterday when I heard this news. :sad2: So - we had decided on the Dolphin/Swan because of the Teacher Rate. Not with this rate, it's even better!! :thumbsup2
I signed up to receive emails but did not get this one yet. Can anyone tell me if the phone number you call is the same as the regular reservations #? (1-888-828-8850)
Thanks! I can't wait to make my reservation!!! Now....if only Southwest would come out with their airline schedule, I'd be all set!

Yes, the number is the same. When I made my reservation I just told them I received an e-mail for a rate of $129 from the special rates and offer mailing list..

I sure hope that great deal will work it's way over into June!!! Have my flights already otherwise I'd book in a heartbeat for this later in the summer deal!!! :cool1:

Thank you for the tip on this rate!!! I just called and got the $129 rate for 8 nights at the end of August. I got such a nice reservation agent. She added a roll-out bed for no charge too! That's normally $25 per night. We have never stayed on property before. We are really excited to be so close to Epcot! Hooray!!

How were you able to call and get the rate today? I called the 888 828 8850 just a few minutes ago ( 4:45 PM CST) and a couple of hours ago and the local office was closed for reservations. When I pressed 1 to talk to someone at starwood reservations, they did not have the promotion in their system. Is there something specific I need to say to get the rate that I am missing? We are looking at going Sept 22-30.

Thanks!
