They told me that Garden Grill's Prices have went up and now lunch and dinner are the same price at 20.99 for adults, now that sucks, I wanted lunch becuase I thought it would be cheaper, but oh well....
Then they told me that Rainforest Cafe they were going to charge a 17 percent to our bill because we have 6 people in our party. Oh that is great...I wonder if we use 2 vouchers if that would cover most of the tip... yuck that sucks.
And then of course she had no idea about the rehitching ceremony at Garden Grill... I guess I will call back later....
I'm sure you all know this stuff already, just thought I would post in case you didn't.. :)

The 17% that the Rainforest charges is the gratuity. You are not obligated to leave a further tip, unless the service is excellent and more is warranted.

Even with a voucher covering the cost of the meal, you should stillplan on leaving a gratuity at any full service restaurant (unless you are on a plan that automatically includes a tip for the server).

BTW, Wendy... the 17% is NOT mandatory. A restaurant can stipulate that they add on 100% gratuity for parties of one or more, but it's still NOT mandatory. If you feel that the service does not warrant 17%, tell them to take it off the bill. They HAVE too.

Just an aside, I will generally have the server remove any pre-added gratuity before they bring me the check regardless of the level of service. I add a tip according to my standards, not theirs!

Have a great vacation!

The connection vouchers cover the tip, for the amount of food charged to the vouchers. It's 15%, which is what I leave for a tip, unles the service is above and beyond.

Not all restaurants will remove the gratuity if you complain. Planet Hollywood would not remove the required gratuity, thus their server got less than if we'd been left to determine it ourselves. My husband and father-in-law take offense at being told how much to tip and feel there is no incentive for decent service when a server has earned a tip simply by showing up at your table. Therefore, if we're told how much to tip, that's all they get. If no automatic gratuity is charged to the bill we leave 20% or more.

Wenpop--

When calling about the re-hitching ceremony, most of the CRO/dining people don't know anything about it. So you need to set that up with the CM's at the time you check-in at Garden Grill for your PS seating. Just mention that you would like to have this little 5-10 minute ceremony. It's cute and kind of embarrassing at the same time. We had good laugh at ours! :D
