Just got THE phone call I was waiting for...

...I'm gonna be a DISNEY INTERN!!!



I had my interview on Saturday with one of the coordinators of the animal program internships for a position as one of the education presenters. As I said, I'd met all the animal program people before through my fiancee who's doing the internship. They're all super great people. Anyhow, some interns had to leave before the term finished leaving some openings and since I'd been having such a hard time finding work here in Orlando (we moved here for my fiancee to do his internship), I decided to give it a shot. After all, I was in college, I'm an Environmental Science major and I'm familiar enough with the program thanks to my fiancee.

After my interview they told me they'd let me know 'within a week.'

And I was told a few minutes ago that I was in! Ohh, I'm so excited!!

Thanks for all those that sent pixie dust my way.

Chirurgeon - No, my job at Disney's Animal Kingdom is to mostly work the Kid's Discovery Club, stand in front of the animals and talk to guests about them, do activites in Conservation Station and do some talks in front of dinosaur Sue and Harambe School.

The education presenter interns are the ones with the red shirts and khaki shorts and vest.
