We are booked 11/22-11/28 paying full price for a package with dining for a preferred room at CBR. Just got an offer PIN for similar nights of our stay (would have to check in one day earlier for package to be valid for some reason) and the same dates and everything at Boardwalk would be $648 more. Kids would miss one more day of school, but otherwise everything is the same. Is it worth the extra to stay at the deluxe Boardwalk?? We've never stayed at either! Loved POR last trip in 2012. Advice is needed! Thanks!

We love deluxe resorts. Boardwalk is a short walk to Epcot, and we love strolling around World Showcase in the evenings. We usually stay at Beach Club. Is it $648 more than you are paying now or $648 between the two after the pin is applied?

Thanks! $648 over what we have booked right now. In the grand scheme of things, not a HUGE amount, but something to consider....

I love the boardwalk! I love option to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The atmosphere on the boardwalk at night is amazing. Lots of things to see like performers juggling, playing games, etc.. Very worth it to me. But once you stay deluxe, you will be spoiled! ;)

It is all subjective. We are DVC BWV and BC. Stayed there many, many times. We also go for variety and have either extended stays or outright additional trips at Moderate resorts. I personally love POFQ. Love the remodeled rooms, theme, and how can you beat the price point.
I rationalize purchases this way. If the room is basically the same, why not spend that extra money on making "magical experiences" on your trip. How much time will you spend in the room? I always cook when we come down per the kitchen in the villas, you are doing the dining plan, so you will be out and about.
$600 spent on maybe a fireworks cruise, fishing trip, renting the little boats, going up in air balloon at downtown, may be more memorable to the kids. Just a thought.

Hmmmm could also do Beach Club for $847 more and I hear tons of good stuff about that one....

We LOVE LOVE the beach club. It is usually our first pick. If you plan on coming back to the resort in the afternoon for a break, BC is great. Storm Along Bay is an amazing pool, and we love to walk to Epcot at night and stroll around World Showcase. My girls are 16 and 10, and BC is their favorite. It's really about convenience for us, and it's worth the extra money, if we can swing it, to stay at a more convenient/nicer resort.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I feel like I won the lottery getting this PIN. I plugged in our dates and simply added one day earlier and BAM, the vacation is one day longer, same meal plans, etc and for just $139 more we are getting another night at CBR! I feel like that's a great deal! So NEXT time we'll talk deluxe. Really we are always on the go and like to have a ton of stuff planned, so I don't think we'll need too much hotel luxury this time. :D

Personally I'd book BWI without a second thought (even with the scary clown side--I'm terrified of them) and never look back. An extra night sounds awfully nice too though :)
