Just recieved our tickets this morning and i was sad to find out that they are all vouchers (every other time i have been with TC signature i have had the actual tickets) which has just confused the hell out of me ...

Universal 3 park bonus ticket - it states on the voucher
start date 7th May, we wanted to use this ticket the day after we arrived so we could go to Wet N Wild? Do i have to redeem the ticket on the day it states? i hope not i will not be very hapy if this is the case.

Discovery Cove ultimate adventure ticket - states on the voucher 9th May and to be redeemed at Discovery Cove, we dont swim till 9th May but want to use the tickets before which says we can but do i have to go to Discovery Cove to get the tickets?

Disney 14 day Ultimate - states ticket starts on 14th May but we dont want to use it till 15th May, do i have to get the ticket the date it says? And where can i get it exchanged it doesnt tell me anywhere on the voucher? :confused3

I don't understand all this voucher business seems like hassle to me would much prefer to have the tickets and not worry about queuing up more to get tickets!

Can anyone help me? i sound like a right old moany minnie!

I'm afraid I can't answer the questions regarding start dates - maybe you could check with the issuer and see what they suggest?
When we have had Disney vouchers we take them to guest relations in DTD. The queues are always pretty much non existant, and as we normally go there on the first night anyway it isn't out of our way.
The way I understood the whole ticketing business is that the 14 days would start from when you first use it and I can't see any reason why that would be different for vouchers. You would exchange them for tickets and they would then be activated when you first pass through the gate.

I can help you with the Disney ticket issue, but not the others although I'm sure someone will come along and help out.

You can redeem the disney vouchers at guest relations at any of the four main parks (not the water parks) and at Downtown Disney. We are travelling with Thomson and will get vouchers as well. We plan to trade them in for the actual tickets on the day we arrive at DTD and use them the following day at DHS.

The actual tickets that you receive will commence the first time you use them to enter a park, not from the date you get the tickets. They will expire 14 days from the date of first use. If you first enter a Dinsey park with them on 15th May, then you can use them up to and including 28 May.

I hope that helps a little - I would much prefer the actual tickets.

Thanks guys just need some advice on the other tickets now :thumbsup2

Hopefully I should be able to help on the Discovery Cove side of things, although my experience does date back to September 2008. We received 2 DC vouchers for the swim and 14 days Seaworld, Aquatica & Busch Gardens. To use the 14 days prior to our day at DC, we were told to take our vouchers to Guest Relations at the front of Seaworld (or I presume whichever park you were wanting to visit), who would then give us a temporary pass into the parks for that day, which we could use until our day at DC. Then when we got to DC, we handed over the vouchers again, and were given a plastic card with our picture on, which we could then use to enter the rest of the Seaworld parks for the rest of our trip. Really hope this helps you!!! :thumbsup2 Enjoy DC!!!!:cutie:

The one nice thing about the vouchers is that as far as I know you need some kind of ID to redeem them for the tickets. So theoretically if you were to lose them, they are replaceable with minimal fuss. This must be a new thing with TC Signature -we have always got actual tickets - they used to get the Keith Prowse ones and they still did this a year ago when we last got them.

How cool that your trip is so close! :cool2:

I think the vouchers r just one big hassle lol i wouldnt be asking these questions if i had normal tickets in my hand lol i could just activate them when i wanted lol

I cannot believe how close my trip is and it STILL does not feel real :rotfl: so exciting!!

We had vouchers last year from TC Signature. I think they still use Keith Prowse, just depends if the ta wants to help you and save you some money or not - I went in the week before we bought our tickets to get a price check on them and was quoted about £200 more, each! Week later when we went to see our actual ta and came in with a load of websites printed out to do some price matches, up came TC signature. ;)

It wasn't any hassle getting the vouchers exchanged, at Disney you can exchange them at any Disney ticket office. I think all of ours had different start dates on them and obviously I didn't collect them all on the same day, so I wouldn't worry about them not being collected on the start date it states in your voucher booklet.
Have a great trip, I'm so jealous!:tinker:

I must admit, I do agree. But I was trying to look on the bright side :) I always found myself constantly checking that I hadn't lost the little paper thingies! :lmao: This is the first time I have booked with Disney UK so now I have other things to stimulate my overactive thougt process ..... like hoping there is no confusion when we check in at the resort and the 14 day ultimates, not available in the US, have to be activated on the KTTW card :rolleyes1

Anyone else have any clue as i'm still pretty clueless i cant be bothered to call the TA as The Dis knows more than them lol! :lmao:

Sorry, I can't help much I only know the Disney ones start from the first day at a park.

Natasha, did you post a savings voucher for the spa at SSR a few months ago, if you did can you help me find it?

Again its been a while since the trip that we last had the discovery cove vouchure(2007) but we went to the front desk at Busch Gardens and got the temporary pass into the park for the day before our journey to discovery cove. We had flown into Tampa and stayed the night there before doing Busch the next day.
