We reserved a garden wing room at the Contemporary. On the resevation confirmation it says "wing - variable". Is this right? I'm not too familiar with the CR rooms but from what I understand the garden wing room is a step up from a standard room but lower than a tower room. Just want to make sure we are getting what we should. Would really like to have the possibility of a view of the fireworks.

All the rooms at CR are the same size and set up wise - and I don't know of any "standard" room that would be different or of lesser quality that a garden wing room.

Garden rooms are standard rooms at the CR. That is why they are so much cheaper then the tower. There are no lower rooms at CR. Maybe by variable they are talking about the view as in water or garden.

We had exactly the same on our invoice! I rang back to double check what view we had booked. They confirmed that we had a garden view, garden wing room booked (as opposed to a Tower room, or a standard view, garden wing room).

I understand that the only 2 views in the garden wings are either Standard view or Garden view....with garden view being the more expensive as they can overlook the lagoon! Woo hoo! That's what we're hoping for!

When I booked there I was told that the garden wings had two views. They are garden view and water view. The garden view in the standard view and the water view is more expensive. So if the confirmation says garden variable it sounds like you have a garden view but could get the more expensive water view if you are lucky.

Maybe by variable it means it can be in the North or in the South garden wing???
