Okay, I have been looking forward to getting our BEO and our planner emailed it me today. We managed to stay within our budget :cool1: The only thing we, may, cut will be the Pre-reception? If any past brides chose to have or not have the pre-reception, I would love to know why?

So $21,935 for 60 people, is not bad at all :thumbsup2

We are planning on a similar guest count -- this information is VERY helpful!
Does the $21K include tax & tip, or is that additional?
Where are you having your pre-reception & reception?
Do you have a breakdown of the expenses (say for flowers, food, photography, etc.) -- if you wouldn't mind posting or e-mailing me privately with that info I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Jill

Hi

I would think you would need the pre-reception, so your guests have something to do while you are taking pics after the wedding.

Thanks so much for the exact breakdown. This makes it much easier to easier to understand rather than $75.00 or $100.00 per person. I especially like seeing the breakdown on the Desert party as we are hoping to do this also.

Is there also a per person viewing charge if people will not be using their park ticket for that day. We want this for the night of our wedding (Epcot Italy Ceremony - Atlantic Dance Hall - Brunch - Epcot Desert party) so I do not think people will be going to the park that day and I do not want them to use a day from whatever type ticket they get for them to get into Epcot for the party.

Linda

To help us save money our guests are using their tickets for entrance, since they plan to use it that day, anyway. But I think the viewing fee is $12.50 pp, plus the cost of an escort and transportation.

Hi

We were thinking about that but, some of them have already said there's no reason for us to purchase the bar for a pre-reception because they, usually, don't eat until noon, anyway and may have a light snack in their rooms before heading to to the GF.

I just don't want it to go to waste because there is only approx. 1 hour between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the reception. On the other hand, that hour may seem a lot longer; Plus, the Florida heat will be in full force around noon, it would be a nice refreshment. I think I'll leave this in. We, actually, came in under our planned budget- I'm actually the frugal one in our marriage, dh wants to keep it as is :lmao:

We're thinking of cutting the pre-reception too, but had the same concern princessdisneybelle brought up. I know our pictures are going to take at least an hour and I don't know what our guests would do during that time... That's where they get ya! :rotfl:

Seeing a break-down of the costs helps us immensely -- many thanks!
Are you using any outside vendors?

Jill

I, seriously, considered using STVS and Randy Chapman Photography. From what I can see, their work is amazing and they are a bit cheaper than Disney. But, I've seen the pics that Disney has taken and they are very lovely, as well, plus you get a 10% discount when you book both, photography and videography with Disney. We decided to stay with Disney because their work is very professional and beautiful, also, and it was easier for us to keep everything "in-house". The only outside people we have booked, is Rev. Jack Day and Lisa (for our hair and make-up).

jillg850 and lpizzuro123- No problem! I don't mind at all posting the breakdown. I remember wondering what the expenses would be, in the very early stages, and thinking the only thing I had to go was the wishbook- which is very accurate. The only thing that left me with questions was figuring expenses for other foods- pre-reception and Dessert Party-since I knew this would change the totals depending on what is served.

Our dessert party menu is: Chocolate and Pistachio Cannoli, Fresh Fruit Tartlet, Vanilla Cream Filled Pastry Horns, Chocolate Eclairs, Raspberry and Creme Roulade, Strawberry Ricotta Cheesecake and Chocolate Pecan Pies.

Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Hot Tea and Fruit Punch.

We're going to use the same dessert party menu! You'll have to let me know how it is :) :) We figured it was a good choice since it was still affordable, but was a little 'classier' than just having cookies and brownies (not that there's anything wrong with those! ;) )

Exactly, what I was thinking!! I can't see a graceful way out of the pre-reception, for us. My logic keeps saying $1985 for 1 hour and they get fruit and drinks.....hmmm:rotfl: But then, my classy-less cheap-side keeps thinking, there will be a rift in our "created atmosphere" without it and somehow, the day will lose a little class:confused:

DH and I just discussed this tonight and decided to just have the pre-reception. Due to the fact that they will, more than likely, get a little heated and drained, waiting for us. The time frame is estimated and may take a little longer or not, but in any event they will be waiting more than 15 minutes and should be served refreshments, while they freshen up before the reception begins.

I guess they got us real good here :)

For the soft drinks & water @ $18/person -- for how many hours does that cover?
Thanks!
Jill

I'll be sure to post a TR and pics. We chose this menu because we felt is was classier without going overboard, also.

:)

That's for 1 hour. It's served along with the Fruit and Yogurt Dip, as a refreshment, while DH and I are taking pics, after the ceremony. This way everyone shouldn't be getting restless, while waiting for us to arrive. Plus, we don't want grumpy guests because they are tired, hot and hungry ;)

Disneybride, thank you so much for posting your breakdown! I keep having budget discussions with my fiance that don't have any facts! Our wedding isn't until the end of the year but we're planning for WP and GF.

All the best to you as you move closer to your wedding date!

Wow, that seems really high for one hour. I was thinking that the water and soft drink option was more like $7 or $8 for an hour....
At Citrico's is the beverage included in the lunch price, or is it extra too?

I'm happy to hear this has helped you. I know how nerve-wreaking it can be to plan and budget, on your imagination :rotfl:

It's so funny you say that because I took a double look and thought maybe the price for the Fruit and Dip was, accidentally, switched around with the drinks:laughing:

But, to answer your question. The drinks are included with the lunch price for us. We are not serving alcohol, at all, because we feel it's just way too early in the day to serve alcoholic drinks. So, I would guess it makes it a bit cheaper, as well.
