Glad it worked out. I would make your guide aware of the problem, just for the record. Others may have had the same problem or may in the future.

Didn't you say in a previous post that your Notice Date was listed as 5/31/03?? If that's the case how can MS say that the notice was sent out on 5/9/03? Are they saying that this was a 2nd notice sent out to you on 5/31??

Personally, I find it hard to believe with all of the delays that we have been hearing regarding paperwork, that the dues statement went out the same day as your closing. I would get back on the line with MS and tell them that those late fees should not be charged against your one-time only late fee reduction.

Seems to me that they don't want to admit a mistake was made. I'd also let your guide know about this, and let him know that you were not happy to be put through all of this hassle.

Out of curiosity, what was the postmark date on the envelpoe it came in? Perhaps it would be worth mentioning to them, in getting the charge removed without having to use your one time to bend the rules?

You might want to consider having the dues withdrawn monthly from your checking or savings account. If they don't get the payment on time, it's their fault, not your's (unless you are overdrawn)

the post mark was june 4th. usually it takes 5 days from florida to me.

im getting alittle nerves everyone suggests i should call ms back and complain that i shouldnt have to use my 1 time late fee charge removed, and also call my guide to tell him about what happened. dh said the same thing.
maybe i will call tomorrow, i guess what can it really hurt, except i get the same ms in accounting.
ill let you know what happens tomorrow!

just to update everyone about my annual dues, after trying to contact my guide for the past 2 1/2 weeks , i finally got my copy of the original dues statement and a letter from dvc just stating that it was brought to their attention that the april 14th statements that were mailed were not received by their members, if we have any questions to contact ms.

ms told me may 9th, our reminder statement says may 9th.
the original says april 9th.

im very confused now, i dont know what day we closed, but all i know they sure had our money since early april, so our closing date could have been early april.

well back to trying to call my guide, maybe i should leave a message that im very interested in an add on of points, then he will call me back !

Good Luck getting all this worked out.....and thank you for keepig us all informed. We just did an add-on, so I'll now be aware to watch for the dues statement and to call ms if it seems late in coming.

I did an add-on in MArch, received notice that my dues were late, along with a notice that dues statements were never sent out by mistake, I telephoned, no late charges assessed because they new they had a problem on their hands, very nice, etc. Said to just send in the payment.

I would think you should be talking to Member Accounting (or whatever their exact name is) about dues concerns not your guide (the sales person). Then again there is always Jackie Lueders, the Member Satisfaction Manager .
