And they're paper! Do they give you a plastic card like Disney when you get there or do you have to hope like hello they hold up for a week? I just know mine will get soaked, torn, lost or somehow shredded if I have to keep up with my family's (2 small kids and 2 big kids!) for the week we're a US later this month.

OK - I know I'm "still earning my ears" :wave2: but 49 people have read my question and yet no one answered. I've gotten a lot of good advice from this site over the past 2 years and rarely have I posted - haven't had that much experience at Disney (only two visits) and have never visited US and really felt that I've had nothing of great worth to share :confused3 . What's the deal? Does this mean that no one knows or that everyone thinks that since I'm so new to this site, it's just better to ignore me. I would really like to know if I need to take special precautions with these PAPER tickets or if this minor concern will be eliminated upon my arrival in less than two weeks :cool1: and I am given plastic passes. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate some information.

I don't know the answer to your question--I have an AP and it is plastic. I am thinking that you might want to move this Q over to the general info board instead of the trip report board. You may get more of a response.

You will not receive plastic tickets. It is a mild concern. However, once you enter the park you don't need them again. If you are staying on-site your room key will serve as your "Express Pass". You might think about getting one of those plastic water-proof cases that hold cash, credit cards, park tix, etc. to keep safe/dry. Have a great trip!!

I forgot that the room key is all I will need for the parks! That's what I like about these boards - there is so much information and everyone is really helpful, but sometimes my little weak mind just can't take it all in. Thanks for putting my concern to rest!

I can honestly say I have never had any problems with the passes. The last time I bought on-line tickets they made me go to the courtesy window and get our tickets but now I just go to the machine near the entrance gate and put my credit card in and my tickets come out.Carry a zip-lock sandwich bag to pit stuff in.
