hi all,

just rec'd my tickets from undercover tourist based on the wonderful recommendations here.

i got only 3 tickets one for each of us (me, dh, & dd). it says "6 day park hopper...expires 14 days from first use" on the back. are these 3 little tickets to be used for the entire length of our stay (5 days). i thought i would get a ticket for each day....is this correct?

sorry for the questions/ignorance....i'm a first-timer! :)

Sounds Good to Me we have an annual pass and we do not get 365 tickets!
:teeth:

HI....I just got ours in the mail today also!!
Yes they are good for 14 days from the first day you use them and like mine are good for 6 days. I park per day. You sign the back.
You carry them around like a credit card for use in and out of the park.
So far I have our park passes, pirates and princess passes and BBB reservation for dd and 2 nights ADR's at my favorite Le Cellier!! Yippeee

molly,

actually, you're right, mine are for 6 days as well (even though we will only be there 5). it makes sense to carry them like a credit card. do you get a wristband or something? do they "stamp" these cards at all or you just show them to MK and then another park you will be visiting that day?

The strip on the top is like the strip on a credit card - when you stick them in the machine it digitally marks it. There is no punching or marking or anything - you use those tickets the entire time (same one for each person).

When you get to your first park, you will each insert your ticket into a machine with a turnstile attached. You will then put your first finger onto a biometric scanner, which will associate your fingerprint with your ticket. Make sure you sign the back of each ticket so as not to get confused over who owns which ticket!

Every subsequent park that you visit will require the same insertion of the ticket and fingerprint scan. Each time the ticket is validated as being presented by the the correct finger holder :lmao: it will pop out of the machine and you can enter the park through the turnstile.

That was a lot of words for a very quick process, hope it makes sense!

Yes, sign them like a credit card, and put them a place safe that you won't forget - like a safe, until you go. Also, it's a good idea before you remove them from the neat sheet they came on to make two photocopies. You don't have to photocopy the picture side of the tickets, just the side with the code numbers on it. That way, if you should loose the actual tickets, you'll have a way to replace them with minimal hassle. Keep one phtotcopy at home in the safe, and bring one to WDW with you - but put it in a different location than the actual tickets. Otherwise, if you lose those tickets...you could be out the $700+ that you paid for them.

I will also say, that despite the flimsy looking nature of the paper cards, it's actually a pretty strong paper. I wouldn't want to put them through the wash or anything, but they are pretty sturdy in a wallet.

Your ticket will be "tagged" to measurements of your finger that are read at machines at each of the parks. The first time you use your ticket the initial measurements of your finger will be taken,"tagged" to the information in the magnetic strip on your Park Hopper and stored in a computer. Then, each time you use your ticket, the computer will compare the original measurements to the current measurements and see if they match. The machines are very easy to use.Have fun! :)
