Please run away from your contract!! Have you decided to now purchase at VGC?? Don't tie yourself down at HHI when you want to be in California. With HHI points you will never get to stay there.....please tell me you will look at resale or go with 160 points at VGC.

I am not trying to be a Downer....but what was the guide thinking other than meeting his quota.

I have decided to not go with the Hilton head contract. I had my sister watch the dvc DVD and I think she is sold!! Yay! We wil probably just start with 160 and add on next year sine we get double points now. I can't wait to call my guide!

we usually go to the disneyland resort. so we would be staying at vgc...our guide said as long as i'm okay with booking 7 months or less out it would benefit us and save us a few thousands of dollars if we went with hilton head. we haven't signed the paperwork yet so i guess i have alot more research and reading to do.

and what are reductions to seller??? it added another $153 on to our contract. they told us that there are no closing costs?

Wow..I don't think I like that advice The old addage of buy where you want to stay really works in this case.If you go to DLR, as we do, and want to use your DVC there, as we do, then it makes tons more sense to buy at VGC since they are the only DVC prperty on site and you could very easily be locked out of staying there if you wait until the 7 month window. (You can still use points to stay at PP or DH though).You could even be locked out of staying anywhere on WDW property as well, as you'd only have your 11 month advatage at HH. I'd cancel this immediately, request a new guide and try and get VGC at the best price ( I think it's 97 pp?) Also, there is closing costs on the first purchase from Disney, I believe, but not on add ons.
