Hello all!

Finally booked an Intimate Wedding for August 18th at SeaBreeze Point! We're DVC members at Beach Club so I can't wait for pix from our wedding with Beach Club in the background...

We're going pretty low-key (Wed. at 11:00am then off to the parks!) but would like to make the best choices from the Intimate Wedding package... anybody know more about:

1) The French bouquets... the descriptions on the pix don't match the choices... are they all rose bouquets or is the "Mixed Floral" something else totally (and could Disney spring for a color flyer of those bouquet choices, please ???)

2) We don't need the limo as we'll walk from Beach Club to SeaBreeze... anyone ever use the limo for transport back to the airport??

3) I've read through all the Disney Photographic rules and regs... it seems like a good deal but only if you wait the 3 years for the $99 hi-res CD... has anyone passed on this completely and hired their own photographer separately?

Thanks in advance for your comments!

Beacher

Ok...I'm a custom, but I will try to answer from what I know about the intimate stuff...

1. You can have certain flowers for the package price. An all rose bouquet is possible, but I think it is only certain colors. If you want something unique or different, Disney may or may not charge you an "upgrade" fee. I think the most common is $75.

2. You supposedly CAN use the limo at another time during your trip, but be sure to clear it with your SM before you count on it.

3. They are really cracking down on outside photo for intimate weddings. The new party line is that if you use an outside vendor, you cannot use Disney (Only allowed one photographer per wedding), do not get a credit for the photography money included in your package and you still have to pay the outside vendor fee ($90 first 3 hours, $30 per hour after). Some people have gotten credits toward other photography sessions, etc, but Disney grandfathered them and seems to now be taking the hard stance on this.

Hope this info helps you...

Oh, and on another note. Did you do the standard Intimate, or the Intimae Add-on? If you are DVC and considering booking rooms thru DVC, then Add-on might be a better option for you.

Congrats Beacher - I'm really looking forward to hearing more of your plans :Pinkbounc

Thanks kismetdreams for your info and Sam for your wishes!

I am doing the Intimate add-on, since we did the rooms on our points. We'll be a small group of 8 plus DF and myself... just right for the Intimate package!

Very excited to have found this option; it's DF's second wedding but my first, so a Disney wedding has made it very special for me while not being the big-deal ceremony he didn't want!

Thanks as well for all your candid information of the past few weeks - I learned a great deal here before I ever even contacted Disney FTW!

Cheers!

Congratulations Beacher!

I too am having an intimate wedding. Did you know that you can see color pictures of your flower choices online? This is the site.

http://www.yourfairytale.com/intflowers.html

It was created by Andrea H., and has PLENTY of information for Disney intimate and custom weddings. The site says that it is for 2001 weddings, but I am pretty sure they are the exact same flowers. At least they are the same flowers that I was sent in my package and I am getting married in Sept 04.
This may give you some idea as to the color. I also think that you can request that your flowers be certain colors as well. You pick the design, and then work with your coordinator on what colors you want. I think thats how it goes. I would like to chose the Pink and cream french bouqet, but I don't want the cream flowers, I would rather them be white since my dress is going to be white. From what I understand, they will substitute the cream flowers for white ones. If I am wrong on this someone please correct me!

Thanks so much, Meranda! That link did the trick. I'm doing the pink and cream French also but staying with cream since my dress is ivory. Can't believe Disney sends out a black and white photocopy of bouquet choices. Yikes!

BTW, I saw you asked for info on DVC - if you didn't get enough answers or have a more specific question, feel free to PM me. It's an expensive investment at first (although we've done the infamous add-ons which break the cash outlays up a bit) but if you're planning on Disney for life it's the only way to go.

Cheers,

My husband and I got married at the gazebo by the Yacht Club last year in an intimate wedding. You'll love it. I'm going to try to answer your questions.

1. I got a color brochure to pick my flowers from last year. My choices were the same as those on the web site someone posted. My boquet was absolutely beautiful. They did a great job.

2. We used our limo to go to Victoria and Albert's.

3. We used Randy Chapman for photography, but that was before Disney changed their rules last fall. He was fantastic.

Also...who is your wedding coordinator? We had some really BAD luck with ours, but I don't think she even works there anymore.

Congrats!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding :) You can also use the limo for your guests, thats what I am doing since we are staying at the Boardwalk. My flower upgrade was $75.00 and also extra money for all the other flowers we needed. I was lucky to get grandfathered in for the photo's. Randy Chapman is doing the wedding and I got a credit towards a MK wedding photo package the next morning.

Good luck with your plans.
