...now what? I honestly have no idea how to use it. Any guidance?
Thanks.

You might just know this nice friend who could help you out!!! If you were to give her a call...... I'd be happy to help out.
Hey, it is so nice to see you posting here!! Caroline

Some how I knew you would respond :) I will definitely get in touch for a Cricut lesson!

rule number one:
take it out of the box and plug it in.

We've had a few ladies *ahem, you know who you are* who had let their bugs sit in the box for forever.

number 2:
pick something easy. I would start with a simple font for a title page.

Play with that with scrap paper until you get the hang of it.

my preference for blade depth is a 5 and pressure at max (unless it's thin paper). but some people like the blade depth at a 4.

OH READ THE MANUAL!!!! Very very important!

Definitely play with it while the cart manual is nearby. A nice friend sitting close by would be helpful too!

I love Bamb and Lisa's answers - sat here and laughed!!:lmao: However BobbinWeeze's daughter, I am only a phone call away! I'd love to help you out.
BTW - with all these great people, you'll find yourself coming back again and again!!! Caroline

Congrats! Which one did you get?
I started out with the original and then moved on to an E. I find it very easy to use. Believe me ... if I can handle one anyone can. I really do not have the patience for anything complicated. I love my E. You're gonna love it! And as others have said ... start out with some font carts and then move on to some piecing. Don't go straight for the Disney carts!

I mostly got my little one based on the Disney carts -- started right off with making Mickey and Minnie! Not easy -- but they turned out cute. Quickly graduated to the E and then added a Gypsy (which has enabled me to do many things besides scrapping, that I would not otherwise have done).

Wish I had known about all the great YouTube videos when I started -- that would be answer to "what now" -- search for those, they're very helpful.

When I first got mine I searched videos on youtube. It worked wonders!!! :) It's alot easy to see the buttons she is pushing and to be able to see what's going on. Hope that helps!
