I pondered back and forth for a long time, trying to figure out what the ideal bag would be for my family trip in Feb. Seriously considered a baggilini, a sling backpack, etc.

This XMas I was at the mall, and went into REI looking for something and found a fabulous bag by Overland Equipment. There was no price posted and the line was out the door, so I just left it and went home on the internet. When I searched, I found out the style was call the Donner, and that it was priced at $55. Yikes! That baggilini was looking better all the time! So, I left the REI website and did a websearch and found the same bag in last years colors for $23. tax and delivery included. Awesome! The sight was The Sierra Trading Company and they are having a huge sale right now, so it may even be less now.

I just got my bag today. I ordered the Moss and it is not far from the lime green DIS color. I love it, and hubby will also carry the bag. It holds two bottles of water on the two sides, which is one feature that I love. I have packed it up and am going to try it on, so will let you know how it works it out. I know I have read of others usuing this bag, so am hoping for the best!

That is a nice looking bag! How long did it take to arrive? I have exactly 2 weeks but would *lurve* to have this bag (though I think I'll get the orange... maybe both?)

Yay! I'm so glad you found a bag for DL.

I found a Mickeydoki messenger bag on eBay that I had passed up on our 2/08 trip. They were selling for $40 in the park but when I looked them up, they were selling for $250 on eBay! I found someone who had listed one w/out using the "Mickeydoki" name and offered what I'm sure they thought was a ton considering their opening bid was $30. They accepted and ended the auction early for me!

I also always take a Coach swing pack. Those are the perfect size for me and so cute to boot!:flower3:

I ordered mine on Dec. 25 and got it today. I would think two weeks would be just fine. Have a wonderful trip. (I liked the orange too!)

I just looked at the sight and the price went up, inspite of the "sale". Too funny! Just a couple of dollars though and way better than the $55 at the store.

I love the Overland bag brand! I have the Donner bag too, in brown and lavender. I use it as a purse. I also have a medium "Tech Tote" bag in moss, the same color you bought. I don't think they make them anymore, looks like they have revamped their lineup. That thing is awesome, I used it as a toddler bag (post diaper) and I'm bringing it w/ me to Disneyland for sure. I use it as a plane carry on. I love all of the compartments and water bottle pockets. Have fun!

UGH! I've been wanting a dang Mickey-freaking-doki since last year. When I decided I would get it, they didn't have anymore. :headache:

I've seen the $250 one on ebay, it isn't even a big one!!
